Yes you need to rest the chicken until the flour gets wet and sticks to the chicken skin well resulting to a crispier fried chicken you may add a bit of cornstarch too.

I usually use cayenne powder, garlic powder, salt, paprika into the buttermilk and marinate it overnight. But I will try this one.
