It truly honestly saddens me to see you this upset man.. Depression can be so crippling and heavy both physically and mentally. I hope that you give yourself enough praise for even getting out of bed, because i know how challenging that in it self can be. The fact that you went the extra mile to get to another kfc location shows great determination and tenacity though! However, i fully understand the frustration and helplessness you must have felt after rushing from one location to another, and no rewards were recieved for the attempt. KFC is disgusting now. When I was a kid I loved it, my family used to pick up the family size meal on the way to the beach and I had fond memories associated with it. Then last summer while on the way to the beach with friends, I decided to pick up a bucket for nostalgia's sake. I hadn't had KFC in probably ten years and I was anticipating my first bite, it smelled great and I was hecka hungry. I chose a large, perfectly golden drumstick, my favourite as a kid, and took a huge, greedy bite. Instant mouthful of grease. I gagged it was so bad, I almost couldn't even taste the chicken. Anyway, after that traumatizing day I've been bitter towards KFC and make petty comments about how they ruined my childhood lol

I used to enjoy KFC years ago as well. I lived in the UK for the past ten years where KFC is very much at the forefront of fast food and the quality is generally high, but the business model is very different. On my return to the US I was shocked at the poor quality and standards at KFC and would never visit here in the US again. No idea how it got so run down.

I would agree with your assessment of the situation with KFC. There was on KFC that has been open for years and possibly decades but now has recently closed down. That particular KFC was a staple of where it was located and was a comforting and welcome site when you are in that part of town. It still had the signature bucket on a tall pedestal over-looking a good part of the city signifying that you are at KFC. It is now gone. Sad but just like what is mentioned, the quality has SEVERELY lacked in recent years.
