I loved this show growing up. The 1980’s had some of the best shows ever. Fall Guy, Duke’s of Hazard, Knight Rider, A-Team, Miami Vice and Airwolf were my favorite just to name a few. I also love how in any tv show like this the cars and trucks just miraculously jump up and over obstacles when they’re supposed to be driving on a flat road.
@PatrickBaptist4 жыл бұрын
You seen the 2008 knight rider? It's better than the org other than the car changing into a truck that ws kinda stupid but the show is much better written.

Amazing how many random piles of dirt where just laid around. Amazing show although I haven’t watched it since the 80’s. Brings back very happy memories. I didn’t have the best childhood and shows like this, Airwolf, Dukes Of Hazard, Knightrider allowed me to escape. Born in 76.

I used to watch this show when I was a kid and never realized that they jumped this truck more than the Dukes of Hazzard & Knight Rider combined. What’s even funnier is that they jumped fences and gates that they could’ve easily drove through. Epic 80’s Shows. Thanks for the memorable upload.
@fredrickcorey60854 жыл бұрын
Lawrence German No they most certainly didn't jump more than Dukes of Hazard. The jump truck, was a Mid engine truck, for balance. it didn't buckle and get destroyed like the Charger did, cause of the off road suspension, axle housing trusses, off road tires, etc, apples to oranges. The Dukes of Hazzard Still hold the World Record for the longest jump. Opening Credits.

The stuntmen on Fall Guy had a fantastic safety record considering the dangerous stunts the performed. They did make it look easy, but they were anything but easy.
@budekins5424 жыл бұрын
Dave, I read an interview several years ago on a stunt website in which Fall Guy stunt coordinator Mickey Gilbert said that - as far as doing the truck jumps were concerned - he himself was the one who performed 99 percent of these jumps. Other stuntmen were used for car stunts and human stunts. The safety record was good because Mickey Gilbert was using a bungee cord suspension system similar to the one used by the stunt driver who jumped the bus in 'Speed'. No broken spines, no damaged backs. This safety system was invented in the early 1980s.

@budekins5424 жыл бұрын
According to an interview with Fall Guy stunt coordinator Mickey Gilbert on a stunt website several years ago - most of these jumps were performed by him. The risk of injury when landing was greatly reduced because the stunt driver was partially suspended by a bungee cord system that was connected to his shoulders from the roll-cage. But yes - even with that safety equipment it is still not possible to have 100 percent control over a stunt - there's always an element of danger.
