There has to be two different polarities in the human being: one which is totally still, totally passive and undisturbed, and one active. We are never aware of the passive pole in ourselves. FEAR HAS TO MEET TOTAL STILLNESS, WHICH IS A TOTAL LACK OF REACTIONS. When it happens you stop being bothered by fear completely... The one that reacts has to literally die, to end!!! The reactive mechanism has to come to an end for freedom to express itself. KRISHNAMURTI IS FREEDOM EXPRESSING ITSELF; When you see Krishnamurti you see freedom speaking! I like this, even though i don't like the fact that i have to react to fear, in the same way in which an already dead person reacts to it!! :))). What we call fear, in fact is already energy dissipated through "running away" through trying to get away from something "fearful"; when we do not react, there is no running away, when there is no running away from the fearful thought, or object, there is no fear. The "running away" itself is fear.

Thought is the tool of time, thought is predicting the future and recalling the past. One who is safe from immediate danger and afraid is told to "get out of the head" to "relax" as in stop dwelling on fiction. A watchful eye can see the mechanics of thought and is therefore not at its mercy.

Fear, is afraid of nothing!!! Only the one which is separate form fear is afraid when fear appears... If you are fear, then there is no one that can be afraid anymore in the moment in which fear arises, which means that the one which is different from fear does not exist anymore, we suddenly stop imagining the observer as something separate from the observed, then in the same way, sudeenly the observer is gone as if it has never been there... "the fear" is afraid of nothing, fear simply exists, like a flower, the observer transforms this "flower" in a monster to be afraid of.

In reality fear is not seperate from you and you are fear, the fear itself is afraid of nothing, only when your thought makes a division between YOU and FEAR then the YOU feel afraid. Good answer to irrational fear - stay and trust in the obvious Universe. However there maybe safety precautions and checks to do for rational fear , and risk assessments- Eg fire drills.

How does this relate to another common advice, which goes something like: "The problem is that you are completely overtaken by fear. You identify with the fear and therefor become it. On the other hand, when you observe the fear then you create distance between you and the fear. You can realise that you are not that fear and chose how to respond. It will come and go as any sensation. Just sit and watch."

That's a good point. Maybe when we identify with it , it means we believe it is "REALLY something" different from us that can hurt us.., when we feel overtaken by it ,we can't observe it... we try but we "think you are observing" ... it is just a sensation + thought +desire +past etc...

The difference is whether I am THE fear (totally intimate with the unjudged, unnamed bodily experience as if looking at a flower) or IN fear (looking through the filter of an imaginary person, its needs, its stories, its biography). Looking with the mind vs. looking as timeless presence, „nothing“.

Thought generates fear.. But Without thought there is no you. You are the thought and you are the fear. How do you get rid of fear? Do you escape? No, that's only a temporary solution. Do you not think at all? Impossible. You can't destroy the root of fear since destruction of the root, means destruction of you, and everything you stand for. Accept fear as an inseparable part of you. Accept yourself.

I always stay in a constant state of fear. Ain't able to get out of it. Just do not know what to do. Can anybody guide me if they know how to deal with it. It will be really helpful 🙂

Megha Sharma, you are fear, it’s not a separate thought from you. You are fear. Accept it, welcome it when you’re thinking and feeling this fear. Don’t run away or try to escape from it. It’s just a thought that you’re feeling. Just feel it and look at it from inside of you. Just notice it. This is just your thought that’s creating the feelings inside of you. When you are in this state of mind, welcome the thought and just notice it. Spent some time with it just notice what you notice about it. Notice the feelings in your body as your thinking about it. Sometime this fear will go back to a memory. If it does look at the memory. Notice that also. Now stop And take your thoughts/mind away from it for a minute and look around where your at. And feel the chair your sitting on feel and see the room your sitting in bring yourself out of the fear thoughts and feeling back to the moment. After that then go back into it again, back to your fear. And see if you can bring it back. When you bring it back this time notice if it starting to change. Notice how it change and notice what’s left, notice the feelings again. Once you done that again, open your eyes look around the room come out of the fear thoughts and feel the room the lights and everything else at that moment. Keep doing it until the fear is gone. When you welcome your fear and notice how you notice it’s there, and welcome it and notice what it is. Which is just your thoughts and feeling about your thoughts or a memory. You will soon realize it’s just you doing it to you by how and what your thinking about. Try it, let me know. I hope this helps.
