How do you start it I can’t get it started and I’m trying to spin the wheel but it just won’t start
@JackVac_joeblower Жыл бұрын
Hi, I've built with a 4 stud high liftarm. It works but, it is shaking a lot, it seems like the piston head was hitting the small little gaps beetween blocks cause I had to build it with block cause I don't have the big walls. I've sandle the corners on the piston heads and lubrificated it. Still can not get it to rev higher that 500rpm. Could you give me tips?
@KFPlusLegoMastery Жыл бұрын
I would say to raise up the walls and make it with a longer connecting rod. the shorter rod means there’s more force against the cylinder walls and more friction. In my experience, a longer con-rod makes a very smooth and fast engine.
@JackVac_joeblower Жыл бұрын
Thanks @KFPlusLegoMastery I'll try it, I've still managed tho to make it run to aproximatively 3500 rpm by putting a smaller flywheel and changing the side of the intake.

@KFPlusLegoMastery3 жыл бұрын
You probably want a decent size flywheel, considering the piston constantly has a force pulling up on it (albeit not very much when it’s going down in the stroke) You want something that can easily and smoothly carry it through that cycle. Nothing too small, pretty much

Normally these engines don't start up on their own. Did you try turning the flywheel over manually? If you build everything correctly it should spin right up with a little help.
@Carburator_Ranger3 жыл бұрын
@@KFPlusLegoMastery yes, I tried turning it manually. Can the vacuum be too powerful?
@KFPlusLegoMastery3 жыл бұрын
It’s possible your vacuum could be too powerful. If you haven’t already, try to start it without the whole vacuum nozzle over the intake but rather only a small portion of it. It should help the engine start up and then you can rev it up
