My dad worked with Dr. Don for 10 years at KFRC. He was Chief Engineer there from 1975-1985. I got to do a commercial for KFRC when I was 5. Don was very talented, and one of the nicest men you could know. I worked for Don's youngest son Jay Rose when I was 14, going with Jay to do live gig's for weddings, school events, etc.

It’s amazing, listening to Dr Don 45 years after this aired. KZbin is a Time Machine, thank you for sharing these with us.

Thank you for bringing back some memories. I also remember Dr. Don doing voice work on Channel 44 in the afternoons after school.

You should be very proud of your grandfather. I listened to him in San Jose every morning ( m-f ) and always put a smile on my face with his bits. Watched his show when the mobil studio was in Santa Cruz at the boardwalk. An awsome guy !!

Right?! About 5th grade for me. Living in the central valley south of Sacramento, my little AM clock radio would pick up 610 KFRC and Dr. Don Rose would get me through the morning getting ready for school. Some of the humor was a bit over my head but I caught on😮😊 Seriously, hearing this takes me back to a better time when things were so much better. Thank goodness for aircheck tapes!! I miss being young.

I likely listened to this very broadcast as a 13 year old - I'll be 60 in a few months.

Takes me back to my sophomore year at Menlo-Atherton High School. I'd listen to him before going to school and then telling his jokes in class. Too bad I didn't have the sound effects.

Sound like he retired lulu bell by this time. Listened to Dr Don in early 70s WFIL 56 everyday before grade school. Sad day in Philly when he left for KFRC.

15:45 Kasey Cisyk sings a jingle for The Limited. She was one of the all-time great commercial session singers. Kasey Cisyk was best known for singing "Have you driven a Ford... lately!" She was also the singer on "Come see the softer side of Sears." And she was the first singer to record "You Light Up My life," which, of course, was later a huge hit for Debby Boone.
