KG-140F JUNCTEK Juntek shunt gauges are they accurate

Another test on the JUNCTEK KG-140F gauge to see if this is reading correct or does this read negative values on AH as the other models have shown to do

You tried to tackle a complicated subject here. Having a meter try to calculate the capacity of a battery and how much energy is available is tough. Lots of variables IMO. Battery type and age being a couple of factors. Flooded cell and even AGM batteries need a bit more than 100% energy to fully charge them due to simple internal losses in the process. I just purchased the Junctek KG-F series meter like yours. So far, I'm happy with it. I get good signal on the blue tooth too. I still think the capacity indicator will need periodic resetting though. It's gonna drift with cycling and time I think.

you are correct, this is only really and short term indicator. I have a different one on my lithium battery and this drifts over time. I normally charge up to 100% over 24hr before any trip and reset the meter to 100%. In end it only drifts a little and if you have 30% showing on a AGM battery you know you are in trouble. The voltage indicator is also a good reference.

@@BrackstonesTravelAdventures Yep, true! Like some other reviewers, the unit lacks a LOW temperature disconnect too for Lithium type batteries. What do you think?

Does that display keep turned on all the time or does it turn backlight off?

I have not tested it for long periods nu i believe the display stays on all the time. Something that they may change in further updates

Pushing the up & down arrows together turns the display on/off
