Man are these cool. I love quirky small cars, and although most Japanese cars aren't quite my cup of tea, the Copen has always really attracted me to its fun size, unique proportions, convertible joy, and simple/fun driving. I do wish we could have these in the US.

A beautiful little car, however it has MANY design negatives. (not flaws) The price of this car is $17,000! It is the size of a Mini, just not as tall, making it look like a large toy car. The "trunk", designed to house the convertible hard top is ENORMOUS and takes up half the tiny car's length. Would be much better if it had a conventional roof, with a LARGER interior and larger frontal area. The engine is a legal Kei, 660 cc, 3 cyl which is ok, but would be FAR better with a 6 speed older generation Toyota Corolla 1299cc 4 cylinder with 90hp. Other than that? This is a FINE, BRILLIANT car. No wonder Toyota bought Daihatsu...
