Hello! I would like to apply for the KGSP next year. At that point, I will have completed my master's degree and I'm not sure if I want to do another one or a PhD. In the case of doing another master's degree, could I attach the grades I have obtained or just the Bacherol's degree's grades count? I'm asking because the document said that "Doctoral degree applicants must put grades information both for Bachelor's degree and Master's degree", so I'm not sure if i'm going to be able to use the grades of my Master's degree, and I belive that they would give me a better chance of getting this schoolarship.

You would have to check with your korean embassy on this because niied can be quite strict about it! :)

Hi, this video is a few years old so you might not reply, but I'll ask anyways. Did you find that the year of Korean learning prepared you adequately for your degree? I would say I have high-beginner or low-intermediate writing and reading skills (speaking and listening is another story...), but I wonder if a year is enough to not fail in an academic setting. Though, since I did a bachelors in English Literature I'm likely going to master in it as well, though I hear most English lit courses are taught primarily or partially in Korean (but your thesis can be written in English).

I cannot really give you a definite answer because there have been a variety of majors where kgsp students have been accepted into!

Hi Jocopie! I took a gap year after high school and want to focus on my KGSP application. As you know due to covid there's no social activities I can participate in and I don't have any awards or certificates to brag about in my application form. So, I enrolled in free courses offered by WHO and UNICEF. Do you think the digital certificate I'll be given at the end of the courses will boost my application or I should be doing more? Also I'm thinking about participating in debate contest offered by IMUN. Do you think all these things sound good enough?

I eagerly want to do my PhD from South Korea under the KSGP scholarship. Thank you for providing such informative video! I have a question. I will become an undergraduate on Fall 2022... Is there any KGSP/GKS opportunities for us entering on the fall? When would the applications open for us?? I have tried to get this information, but normally it says its for undergraduates arriving for the spring... Thank you for this video. Please could you more explain why KGSP is for those who wish to pursue their academic ph.D in Korea or to work there? I Want to continue a research program After graduating from a korean university in Europe or America. So I would like to know if it is a good idea to go in Korea only for a master's degree in then continue in another country. Thank you in advance.

Hey, thanks for the video it was very helpful. I have one thing that I am still not sure on. When I apply with GKS do I also complete the universities' regular application process, e.g. the uni I am applying to asks for documents to be uploaded online in their own application system,, and to pay a fee. Do I still have to do this and pay the fee if I am using GKS? Or do I just send them my GKS application in the mail? Thanks for any reply!

If you are applying via embassy track, you don't have to submit any documents to the school!

Thank u guys for this video first of all ;)^^ So basically i hope to go to korea in 2024 after my highschool graduation , and i am learning korean till Topik level 5 or 6 so i dont have to do the language year because its for me a waste of time...but i also dont really know what i wanna study, i wanted to study medicine actually, but its a wish of the little me that wanted to study in korea someday and for the kgsp there is no chance to study medicine and its soooo hard to getting there in korea. So i dont really know what to study and i also dont want this 4 yrs to be just a waste of time.
