This just happened to me yesterday. I tried to use my card (my first trip to the store in 2 weeks) and kept getting the message “Incorrect PIN” I stepped aside and checked my account online….On March 4th someone had changed my PIN On March 5, all our benefits had been used to order groceries delivered to an address in Mississippi from their local Walmart Superstore. If an address was given for the grocery delivery, why can’t someone investigate???

There never used to be any safety measures in place, but now, you can go online to your EBT account and freeze certain features making it impossible for someone to use your card online or in another state. I’m sorry this happened to you, I hope you can get your benefits replaced, we did. @@YB4ktBetter

How do they not catch the thieves, card being used in Florida Walmart, you can see on a video camera who is using it. They can also create a system where the stores and banks have access to a database with names and card numbers w photos perhaps, and the Clerck checks photo ID before accepting EBT cards. I remember long ago, they asked for photo ID before taking credit cards. Automatic check outs in grocery stores should stop accepting EBT cards. I am sure some fast remedies can be found. It is just not acceptable that crooks can just drain money like this from the system. It is everyone's hard earned money they are draining.

A friend goes to QFC and takes out $100 on top of her groceries. No problem. She always goes to the a cashier instead of a self serve and makes sure no other customers are near her when using her SNAP card. It's very disgusting that there are people who will literally steal the food out of other's mouths. But that's what we are living with now. BE CAREFUL!

California had PLANE LOADS flying in from (drum roll) I...a. What a surprise. They pulled several hundred MILLION in "kash" real fast, while legit applicants waited for MONTHS. Then, they leave town, AND the country. Not collectable. To do this, you HAVE to have someone deep on the inside, and able to cover their tech. tracks (and they've NEVER been found as far as I've heard).

Too many times I've seen people with $500 purses and expensive clothing and jewelry using SNAP cards! It's absolutely disgusting! Often the criminals are the authorized recipients of the fraudulently obtained benefits.

It was originally created to keep middle-class families stable during economic upheavals so they didn't lose everything they had and destabilize society by losing their homes and having the social fabric unravel in suburban America.

So, what happens if people just stop drawing their $$ out of the bank ATM's? You can withdraw from most grocery stores. I don't know what the max is per transaction, since i've never tried that, but just take out the max allowed until you have gotten what you want. I mean, buy a pack of gum, take out some $$. Go to another counter, get another pack of gum & .....
