i love how graceful tae kwon do forms can be. and i love seeing the different ways the order of the forms are taught at. yes the basic form he learned is different from mine but its still wonderful to watch in my opinion :)

Thank God I found this. I'm going back to tkd after taking almost two years off (I'm a 2nd Dan who was in it for five years straight) and have forgotten almost all the forms but Koryo. This videos gonna help alot when it comes to relearning the forms

@mellisa tipson in years years still you can't do like this. these forms have no use in reality and in real life they just look good as an art. otherwise no use of set in real life but moves to learn are good but as a form in real life no fight can be done in this sequence.

The dojang I instruct at teaches the Palgwe forms, we are just about to start doing the Taegeuk forms. This video has been very helpful for me as a crash course on the Taegeuks, because I need to learn them all basically in a few weeks. I am not devaluing live instruction, but it's nice to have a reference to use when I am practicing at home or away from the dojang. There are plenty of good videos out there, but this one was paced best for me to be able to use. Thank you for providing this for the Taekwondo community to use.

The haters out there never cease to amaze me. These two have spent years practicing their art and are quite proficient. Those commenting so negatively are obviously quite insecure with no skills of thier own. Go forth and be respectful, decent people.

Like it or not the masters above had done their best possible, I am using this to teach my juniors, it might be a little bit slow in movement but good for teaching, at least we can see that clear, wider stance only applied in ITF but not WTF, wide stance is difficult to retract and not agile enough, sorry for saying that............. .

Why are so many people saying he did things wrong? He was likely taught differently than you. I see nothing bad, slow, or weak about his technique. He makes it apparent he's a black belt. I don't practice this exact form of WTF TKD but I certainly don't disrespect it like most of these negative comments do.

Each club is actually allowed to do whichever belts they see fit. So whilst the usual will be white, yellow tag/stripe, yellow belt etc (or advnaced as you have called it) some clubs choose to use a different belting system. It depends on if they are affiliated to larger organsiations or not. If they're an independent club, they can do what belts they like. I personally would keep it traditional for my club, but everyone is different!

Personally, I enjoyed this video, and it's useful for me as I further my own knowledge (coming from itf myself) but I find the lack of respect shown in some of the comments disappointing. I'm amazed that juniors (in age) feel able, and willing to criticise seniors of a higher grade. That strikes me as rather arrogant, regardless of the commenters own "skills". If you haven't trained with these gentlemen, at their level and intensity, what gives you the right to disrespect them?

Whether you point your toes or kick with your instep doesnt really matter. Many Schools teach different ways of kicking. For example: My old master taught to kick with your toes. He was bought out and the new masters teach to kick with your instep.
