Many thanks for your nice comments. It is really amazing to find out that your late husbands name is the same as the name of our village. Beverst is part of the city of Bilzen in the north east of Belgium. The music for "Band of Brothers" was written by Michael Kamen for the famous television series produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. My late husband was George Edward Beverst. He passed in 2007. He was the director of most of the German Ethnic Choruses in the Detroit area of Michigan. In addition, he was an excellent conductor and composer of music. I love this piece! The director directing the group looks much like George Edward Beverst (probably a coincidence) and also directs remarkably like he did. I'd like to know more about this group. It is excellent!!

Sometimes in English history, they are referred to as "War pipes". The English tried to ban them for a while, I believe, But realize that was futile.

One more comment: The group is fabulous! Intonation with the bagpipes is so very good - not often heard. Who wrote the music? Even though the last name is the same (Beverst), the Beverst I know could easily have written this. It is much like his compositions. Kudos to you all for something so beautiful!!!
