So I can actually understand and relate to Pat here, and I think many people are missing the whole point of what made Pat upset. The WHOLE series Pat has made a point of saying that him being micromananaged and not being able to make his own choices in a project - and also in love (think of his history with Put) - makes him feel belittled, disrespected and trampled over. And that this happening also makes him lose confidence in himself and his abilities to stand on his own two feet in both work and romantic relationships. This series really showed us how important SELF WORTH is and Pat's journey to achieve this in both work and his personal relationships. So when Pat was given support by Jeng and was trusted to make his own decisions with work projects, he felt respected, supported and lifted. Now btw I love Jeng and totally understand what he was trying to do here and only feel remorse for him too, BUT by using his own money secretly and not discussing this move with Pat as a team, it made Pat feel like Jeng didn't feel like Pat's plan could succeed on its own, and once again someone related to both Pat's work AND love life, made this choice over his head without considering how Pat would feel about it. Then imagine being Pat, who created an entire project to help save their company that DOESN'T involve the use of money, as this was what was needed to prove to Jeng's father that they were a successful and worthy working team, to feel supported in this project by his lover and team, to think they have succeeded, only for it to be taken away in one swoop by one decision Jeng made in secret. I would be heartbroken also. Pat is allowed to be devastated by this, regardless that Jeng made this decision out of love. I can relate to Pat so much due to my own history of being taken advantage of and also by learning how to speak up for myself in work or personal situations too. I can understand hitting a point where enough is enough. In saying all this though, it is very obvious that Jeng took what Pat and others said about his personality seriously and has worked very hard to improve himself and create a more positive and supportive role with all those around him. He made this one decision out of pure fear that he could lose Pat and I feel for him. I love both men and can't wait to see them resolve this next episode. This episode STRESSED ME OUT. 😢

I was reading about shadow selves in psychology that get created because of multiple reasons. all these decisions done in the name of love, should hold mutual consent or they'll always create some what ifs based on what goes unacknowledged. if that makes sense? and the repressed comes to surface in ugly ways. like how pat started doubting his own self worth in the work place.

And to satisfy his father, this project was supposed to be no cost, jeng using backhanded approach totally discredited the project in front of jeng’s father anyway and doing so without discussing it with his team is something that a boss should never do. Jeng should’ve discussed this with pat not because their boyfriends but because jeng is the leader and pat is the incharge of the project. Pat from ep 1 made it clear that not being trusted and being able to make work-related decisions makes him feel belittled and left him questioning his worth so jeng knew how much this will hurt and belittle pat but still chose to do it. For example if a player uses steroids to play better on the field, would he be right for using such method to win? No because it meant that he not only used a wrong method but in doing so he also discredited his teams ability to succeed on their own. Jeng did the same because now, not just pat but the whole team would feel that they are not enough to make success. Jeng is not wrong because pat got hurt, he is simply wrong for not being truthful to his deal and for not trusting his team’s ability. Even if they fail, they would’ve failed fairly and it would’ve been better than winning with dishonesty 🤷‍♀️

First…..Remember the age difference. Also first job out of university. Pat believed Jeng was impressed by his abilities and work ethic. He only started to have doubts when Jeng expressed his feelings. Add the homophobic father, the manipulative exec and the betrayal Pat felt knowing Jeng fronted the campaign. In any relationship trust is very important. No matter the good intentions! A lot to process. I’m hoping for growth and maturity from Pat and that Jeng won’t give up on him🥰Jeng really loves and cares for Pat. “Anything worth having is worth waiting for!” Jaab and Jen will find their way😘Love always finds a way❤️ Cheers!!

We can all tell that Jeng is the only one fighting and giving his best to solve the problem and stay with Pat, but guys it's Mr jeng he's the boss's son he has much more power and confidence than Pat has, Pat once said "he's too good to be true, how can someone like him have feelings for me /it doesn't make sense ", at this point pat is still doubting himself he doesn't see himself as a good boyfriend for Mr jeng, he always look for a chance to break up with him and run away he's not comfortable being his boyfriend , that's right pat like jeng too but that feelings are not enough for him to stay, as an adult I see that breaking up is the right thing now both of them need some space to think and understand their feelings more.

I think saying that Jeng is the only one fighting and giving his best is too much of an absolute especially with what was shown in this episode. Yes, Pat may have had his doubts but after Jeng has coaxed him out of his resignation, Pat became resolute in fighting for their relationship even if it is step by step. The revelation that Jeng's dad was behind the scenes all this time did not totally faze him and Pat was surprisingly confident in how he handled Put's call. I believe these just goes to show that Pat was also trying albeit in his own way. It's just that Jeng's subsequent action, once exposed, not only made Pat lose face to Jeng's CEO dad, it also burst Pat's confidence in himself but more importantly, betrayed his trust with Jeng. I agree with you though that the breakup is the right thing for both of them at the moment. Both needs to grow, both needs to heal. On another thought, seeing the preview having a two-year timeskip, feels like too long of a period for a reflection to a hopeful reconciliation for JengPat. I think it's more to give way for more screentime development for JaabJen. I kinda anticipated the timeskip already even before seeing the preview once it was mentioned that Jen would be studying in Japan for two years. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that both ships would be able to sail to their destination in the end.

Well the pendulum in this episode swung from Happy Times 🤗 to Let's break up 😭. We're on this emotional roller-coaster "Step By Step" ride of Jeng & Pat's professional work dynamic and the balance of how to pacify Pat's sensitivities 🥺. Jeng really has good intentions with Pat despite his dad's manipulation 😤. All the while we're processing Jaab's true love for his peach Jen and wondering what the future holds for them. I am very glad that Pat took a stand. Jeng in the guise of loving Pat " Unilaterally decided What he thought was best for Pat". There was " No Trust" and " No Respect". This was an act of "Control". You can pretty it up because Jeng is handsome and kind, but he far too often imposes his wishes upon Pat and expects Pat to be understanding and appreciative. He is making Pat a non-entity in his own life. Pat is smart, clever and sensitive. He will never get to achieve his full potential because Jeng is always imposing himself like a shadow dimming the light of Pat' s potential in the name of "Love". I like Pat. He is kind and sweet. I would like to see him flourish without Jeng's "Well Meaning" Interference. Jeng is causing Pat to question whether he is talented and capable. He is, but every time he has an opportunity to express himself, Jeng pulls some "Well Meaning" duplicity in the guise of " Helping Pat". Using one's power and position to manipulate the outcome of someone else's life is called " Being Controlling". Part of learning to be successful is learning from " failures or mistakes". Those missteps lead to growth and understanding. Jeng is stunting Pat's growth. Pat was smart to step away. He needs to reclaim is individuality. He can only do that away from Jeng at this moment. Jeng's betrayal of Pat's trust warranted the Break Up. Pat will become stronger and more self confident. Jeng needs to take this time to reflect on his continued efforts to impose his " Well Intentioned - Controlling Behavior" on Pat. Imposing (Forcing) one's will on another person is Not the way to cherish a relationship. It is Controlling and Control can slip into abuse very quickly. If Jeng really valued Pat as an equal in the relationship, he would have been honest with Pat and respected the numerous times that Pat expressed the need to succeed on his own, despite the expected difficulties that are part and parcel to achievement. Good for you Pat. How many people would want to be relegated to the back seat in their own lives because of another person's " Well Intentioned Actions"? in the name of " Like" or " Love " or " ?????. Enough with " Well Intentioned Actions " .

This episode was just 😢 Anyway, i think this episode more than the others has really highlighted how much K'Jeng's pressure and mentality to be perfect really has a chokehold on him. From choosing to handle the assistant's case, to bearing the burden of this whole scandal. Like he said before, he has always been 'good' so this must have been a huge blow for him(also adding that this mught be harder because he genuinely was enjoying his relationship with Pat and just being in love now all of a sudden his 'Identity' is being used against him and he cant protect Pat too) Also I think his love life was the one thing that made him feel sane and a little bit of freedom too so now that that's a wreck too.😢 I can imagine how much stress he must have been going through.

He's gone through a lot of character development whereas Jeng has been pretty stagnant so it'll be interesting to see if Jeng will be able to change at all within that 2 year time skip in the next episode or if they just won't be together by the end of the show 🤔

Cada vez q veo las notificaciones de los episodios q salen d esta serie mi corazón se achica y procrastino en verla, no pq sea mala serie, si no pq sé q se viene con todo ya sea algo super bonito o algo q me va a romper el corazón... Trust is key but so is, communication. We’ve seen Pat how he runs away and thinks it solves everything. It’s also different now b/c he’s not single, he’s in a relationship. Also, Jeng deserves better. Pat just automatically thought breaking up would solve things and it took them AWHILE to be together. It’s disappointing that he could stand the storm even through thick and thin.

As someone who has been through this whole situation "Forcing good intentions" and finally our friendship broke... I feel bad for Jeng, but relate to Pat so damn much!!! Even if it's Good Intentions, it shouldn't be just forced upon someon. About Pat breaking up, anyone would be devasted if someone keeps trampling your self worth (we watched since ep1, if you don't understand that much, you really need to watch it again) Those who call Pat a crybaby, anyone would be hurt by this. He was already sensitive about his skills since the very beginning, what Jeng did over n over again was just making him lose his confidence even more. Jeng had good intentions but he was still afraid of success rate, which also means he couldn't trust the results & Pat's ability. He did it out of "love" but it was still wrong. Let's just hope this series doesn't end like my friendship.

Directors made the jeng character very well but his story is sad, Jeng was always there in every situation with pat, both in his sadness and happiness, but pat never understood or tried to fight for jeng, he left jeng in the worst situation, where jeng was fighting for his love and his build up dream against his father. Yet he lost everything

I think that his experiences of dealing problems led Pat make those actions. The way I understand Pat is that he's dealing a very high amount of anxiety and as an individual. Jeng might have bigger problems but I think that the way Jeng handles his problems are way different than Pat. Jeng may be high-spirited but Pat is just not. :((
