I agree that Kha’Zix works fine as a narrative instrument for Rengar’s story. He fits into that limited narrative use the void creatures all fall into, as you so often point out, but given his adversarial relationship with Rengar, him being little more than a monster who kills anything and everything works just fine for that kind of story.

The complex thoughts kha zix seems to have towards rengar and killing in order to evolve makes me hope that riot makes kha zix the first void born to rebel against the void. Khazix changes both mind and body when he evolves and is currently capable of complex thoughts and feelings compared to other voidborn. Kha is selfish and seeks to eat to evolve himself rather than to further the goals of the Void. If the void wins and runeterra is assimilated then khazix has the most to lose because he looses his way to evolve further. I hope riot uses this to turn kha into a sort of antihero that will fight against the the coming of the void and flesh out his rivalry with rengar..:....and yes I ship khazix and rengar

I feel like that should be the narrative for all the void-born, to rebel against the watchers and yet they still aren't good guys, each one has their own terrible desires... kinda like the seven deadly sins (not the anime) Cho'gath: pride Rek'sai: wrath Vel'koz: lust (for knowledge) Cog'maw: gluttony Kha'zix: greed And no, kai'sa doesn't count.

I love the "Alien vs Predator" vibes Kha'Zix and Rengar give. (Even tho Predator is actually a hunter). Since Hunters kill for sport, like Rengar does, and Predators kill for need, like the need Kha'Zix has to evolve and survive.

Something I really like about khaz is that he’s not some mindless void creature. He’s a balance between vicious hunger and intelligent creature, since in his story with rengar he constantly analyzes faults in tactics and makes advantageous decisions to counter him. While I’d love for our evo bug to have more stories about him learning how to become the perfect predator to each kind of prey and maybe how he would become a fable to nearby civilizations, where he is now is perfectly open ended to where we can only assume he lurks in every shadow, hunting whatever he needs and becoming more of a threat as time goes on. Also a cinematic with him would be fucking awesome riot COME ON

His lore would be interesting if they added victims to it. Cho'Gath is a world eater. Rek'Sai is a terror of the sands in Shurima. Kha'Zix was supposed to be obsessed with evolving, but instead he is just fixated on an enemy.

I think the reason kha'zix doesn't look as strange as other void champions like Vel'Koz is because he/she/it is supposed to be a newer generation of design for the Void and is better adapted to Runeterra and it's laws of physics.

Kha'zix is my son who i love very much, of course i'd love more content for him/the void as a whole but other than more fun stories between him and rengar, he's pretty ok where he is, he doesn't really need big lore boost. Now i'm still waiting on a kog'maw nature vs nurture story because it's a perfect way to explore a cute baby void beast with no concept of morality while still not being too serious or lore changing. Shuriman's using Rek'sai's tunnels for travel could also be a good way of posing the void born as monsters with benefits which I think could be super interesting. TLDR , i love these crunchy bugs and hope riot expand on them in more ways than just "i'm a mindless prop villain"

Honestly, I don't think riot will ever make the void champions into incomprehensible non-euclidean horrors, but I really wish they embraced more the "true" aesthetic of the void. Make kha'zix the idea of what the void thinks a praying mantis looks like. Hell, keeping almost the entire character model the same but giving it the purple and gold fractal texture of the void would already be a huge improvement

One thing that I'm not sure if you've touched on is that the void characters currently existing all have one thing in common: they hunger for something, and it's an unquenchable hunger. From what I remember, kha hungers for evolution to become the ultimate killing machine. Vel hungers for knowledge, Cho hungers to become larger, kog hungers for daddy but most likely to become whatever he really is (think caterpillar to butterfly) and etc. They have a corresponding theme for most of them

Thinking about it Kha'zix has a similarity to Bel'veth, she evolved to become something greater when she consumed a city she got her name from. Kha'zix is different from Cho'goth and Kog'maw in that they simply want to eat, he wants to eat and evolve, he wants to become the perfect being, he is the void wanting to evolve into something greater then itself. He almost in a way feels like the void's first step toward what Bel'veth would become, the void shaped by it's contact with reality and changed by it, almost like he is the prototype for Bel'veth.

I could be misremembering but aren’t most of the voidborn “created” by the Watchers for specific purposes most of which are or somewhat relate to, “Destroy or delete Runeterra and bit by bot get more efficient at it” ? I know that is Vel’Koz’s exact purpose and I think it was kind of Kog’ma’s too which is why he has that endless hunger. Which is what makes Bel’Veth different (I do know this is an old short and Bel wasn’t out when it released but I just came across this and wanted to toss my two cents in). Bel’Veth wasn’t a creation or a derivative of something the Watchers made she formed from all the cultists and random people caught by Malz in her namesake town. And she does not like the Watchers. I think Riot actually mentioned at one point around her release that there’s now a “divide” in the void between the voidborn of “The Lavender Sea” (Bel’Veth’s “turf”) and the Watchers’ voidborn

Tbh it's way more interesting than varus's lor : two gays one pants . When it used to be normal dude that lost his city and decided to seek power that made him kinda insane and corrupted to revenge his people . New lore isn't terrible at all but it doesn't fit him to be darken , heck arcane light-skin- is meant to be him before the corruption .

I don't think Kha'zix needs to be related to the void. I think it'd be a good idea if he were some sort of symbiotic anomaly generated maybe from the fallout of Xerath's power that destroyed shurima, maybe just an ancient, previously hybernating species that evolved and lost all its other members and now is killing everything, maybe they could redesign Skarner aesthetically to look similar to Kha'zix (the latter has much better design imo) and they could both be Brackern pursuing revenge for their race's undoing. And THEN have Kha notice he doesn't mind that. All he lives for is the thrill of the hunt, Of combat, after he fights rengar. There are much better approaches to make a decent lore for Kha'zix.

I thought the canon Lore with the void was that they are only non-euclid upon exiting a void rift and manifesting in the physical realm for the very first time and, with time, become more and more "natural/physical" looking, which explains the looks of all the voidborn in league, with Vel'koz being the best example of what happens to a void creature when it roams the earth for a long time, developing several hard bony plates? Not saying that i wouldn't enjoy a champion that is based around this exact transformation from a non-euclidian creature to a fully developed void spawn, which could be represented with level up like Kayle but actually interesting and is portrayed by, for example" the jungle camps it clears (NOTE: I got that inspiration from some rumor of a new void creature being released soon that had a very similar design, which turned out to be a fake announcement), literally "adapting" to the environment it has been placed in, being the Summoner's Rift. My point is: I don't necessarily want Riot to rework ALL the void champions to be this non-euclid to manifested-perfected-madness thing (even though it would a rather unique mechanic to give to several champions), but only rework SOME to portray this, or just release new Void characters that also show this transformation taking place.
