Drama serial "Khaali Haath" highlights the sensitivity and closeness in brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s relationship. The frankness and intermingling in such kind of associations are quite acceptable in our society. But sometime such kind of propinquity leads to misunderstanding and unethical hankering.
This play revolves around Mashal (Aiman), who is gifted beautiful, sensible and high-spirited girl. Her elder sister Sobia (Kiran Haq) receives marriage proposal from Basil’s (Ali Abbas) family. Mashal was out of town at the moments of commitment session. Basil sees his sister-in-law first time on the occasion of engagement ceremony and caught in love at first sight. He develops ultimate desire to attain Mashal by hook or by crook. Despite being her brother-in-law, he usually throws clues and indication that he is interested in her. Mashal finds herself in a miserable situation due to frequent harassment attempts from Basil.
Meanwhile Mashal also receives marriage proposal from Haisam (Shehzad Sheikh) and Basil starts plotting diabolic schemes against this union.

With Ali Abbas and Kiran Haq this drama is a must because the acting from these alone is just impeccable . Ali Abbas plays the part of ruthless guy who falls for his sister in law during the engagements process to his fiancée played by Kiran Haq. These two actors don’t just read out their lines but they actually live the character to the fullest showing all the facial emotions and body language with it and that is very rare in Pakistani dramas. I died laughing watching Ali Abbas act as the bad boy purely watching his facial emotions. There is a part in one of the middle episodes where he arranges to go on honeymoon to Murrie to stalk his sister in law and then as the family gather he realizes that they are actually going to Switzerland. The face he makes and the body language from his wife Kiran were just amazing and I burst out laughing so hard . The sooty moved at a steady pace and the direction is definitely better than most dramas. The family atmosphere in Shezad Sheikhs family is worth enjoying and for a change Nida Mumtaz does not have a part where is constantly screaming and yelling which I find annoying in most of her drama roles. She plays a great part of a composed mother . The cast is good and Aman Khan tends to overact in places but otherwise Shazad is very good too with the senior actors playing great roles as parents. I’m in the middle of this drama and can’t wait to laugh more with the facial expressions of Ali Abbas and Kiran Haq. Thanks guys .
