He chooses his words and opportunities carefully. That line you just referenced was one of them, I’ll give you one other example that we all saw but most people I believe missed the significance of in the moment. When the fight was called and Conor tapped, Khabib held that crank a couple more seconds just as hard. I don’t think that was just revenge or rage that caused him to do so. It’s my opinion that he was making a statement to Conor and Conor alone. If this was a fight to the death, no rules, no ref, no audience, I could do whatever I want to you, I could kill you, you are not a warrior, you are a coward with a mouth compared to me. I might be wrong about that, but I don’t think I am.

He also said that being the overall greatest of all time is something that he won't pursue as they're all the greatest of all time. When you know you can dominate for years and have beaten everyone to beat, to then *choose* to stop gaining accolades, money and notoriety based on respecting a wish of a family member is incredibly selfless of him. He has no interest in being seen as the greatest and was quick to praise the others and refer to them as equally as great as himself, that shows the mindset of the man and is highly impressive.

Khabib truly absorbed his father's wisdom and that made him wise beyond his years. He will be a legendary coach because he was the most disciplined and hardest working fighter in the business.

As a Irishman, when i listen to Khabib it doesnt even seem like hes coming from a place of hatered when he talks about Conor, The man is just talking facts. Conor was a great fighter but the money got to him and hes not committed. Being the best is not something you can just turn on when you have a fight, its something you have to maintain even when you are not in camp, and thats what Conor clearly doesnt do. Fame and money got the best of him and its sad because he was something special. Now he just seems like a angry and bitter man. Ill always respect Conor for what he did and noone can take that away, but as a fan from the get go its painfull to watch how hes carried himself the last few years and he only has himself to blame.

It's God's law that everything that rises must fall, fame and money are just the reason for Connor, reality is, he is just following the cycle that is set. Only few active by God's will (M Ali, Khabib).

Facts brother, Irish are warrior group of people and you saw that in Conor but I feel conor never had anybody to tell him to think about his decisions, khabib had his father who didn’t let him slip along the way.

It's admirable that even though he still has great ability, he's understanding that your time as champ is limited. Most champs act like they'll be there forever. To this day, he can beat any of them but his ego doesn't need to be fed.
