Tibau didn't do much offensively. Great takedown defense, but it doesn't win rounds by itself. Tibau had a couple of takedowns but they were momentary. Striking was pretty close. Tibau had the cut and thus visible damage, which seems to weigh with the judges. I suspect Khabib got the decision due to being the aggressor for nearly the entire fight.

I don’t believe this fight was scored a clear victory for khabib but it still gladly went to khabib due to old rules and how game factor khabib looked compared to tibeau.. Tibeau mostly ran but hardly fought forward, I’d suspect tibeau has issues fighting forward bc he has a weak gas tank, he might’ve even roided out and thought it would be easy to ko khabib. Not to mention khabib flexed his own pace the whole time and controlled the octagon whilst falling down a couple times but bouncing back like a true champ… dudes made of tougher stuff then most, he deserved the w here.

Great fight but if u look carefully Tibau did land some good shots, but not wen he had him in down. Its true khabib couldn't grapple him but he landed crisp clear shots in 2nd round!
