Probably the best soloing i have ever heard...and the most exiting soloing ever recorded. I wish he would have kept this style...my god he´s a master.....the feel is amazing

finn André Hovde there are players that hit peaks and then they sort of forget how to repeat that, marty friedman in megadeth was another genious how in soloist form seems to me to be a shadow of his former megadeth self

When people look back on the 80s era guitarists, I think Lynch will emerge as the one whose work stands the test of time. He will be the legendary guitarist people talk about. One reason I say this is not only did he do phenomenal work with Dokken and as a solo artist, but he has worked with so many other musicians during his time. Most of his contemporaries have only worked within the confines of a couple bands at best.

Holy shit! The solo in River of Love is pure genius. Lynch was untouchable during this era and I would have put him up against any guitarist on the planet. He is still an unbelievable talent to this day.

I've been a big fan of George Lynch for many years. He's one of the all-time best. His style is original. His solos are hard and melodic. While most guitarist are trying to show you how many notes they can play in 30 seconds or less, George Lynch is making music.

He is very gifted. Every guitar player at all levels brings something to the studio/stage. But GL...man o man....its an honor to watch him play. Glad I rock n rolled thru the 80's-90's and saw him live a couple of times. His new band Souls of We is awesome! Lynch and London make a great team. Hope they tour again soon.

I literally watched the man shred for nearly 2 hours about 1-2 feet from my face! It was like getting a private concert for me and my buds! My friends and I got the chance to meet him after the show. Truly a most gracious and unpretentious guy. Quite modest and most affable. Needless to say, truly one of THE greatest shows I've ever been to. By one of THE greatest guitarists ever! It still gives me chills thinking back on it! Thanks George!

I bought this back in 2003 as a videotape.I was always admiring GL as a guitarist but before buying this instructional videotape,i thought that the best guitarists should play fast and technically no matter what the melody that was thrown away! Now i can confess that this tape changed completely my aspect for music and also changed 100% my style as a guitarist.George lynch can play fast, techically, and kick everybody's ass with his melodies especially in his solos...A scary man indeed...

I've been listening to rock guitarist since the 1960's. George Lynch is without question one of the best ever. George knows how to shred the fretboard, while keeping the solo extremely melodic and in keeping with the flow of the song. So many guys today are just into speed, without any concern of the direction of the song. George doesn't just play guitar, he's a true musician.

George is fantastic. I heard him in the studio many times playing raw. There are a lot of great guitarists that it's hard for me to personally say who is my favorite. I heard Eddie many times as well. Both fantastic guys! Eddie gets put down a lot since he does similar solos and such. But, no mistaking if he decides to let loose, he is just sick. He is very reserved where most guitarists go balls out all of the time. I have heard dozens of his solos and riffs that are still not on record.

My take on this style is that it will hold up better than most of the guitar of the 70s on. There are very few players, Satrianni, Lynch and a few more that actually sing with their guitar. EVH did it sometimes, but this early lynch style is as if the guitar had a voice... its a full song solo. Running all over the blues scale lends itself to this, and then some additional wizardry thrown on top... i can listen to the first couple Lynch Mob + George Lynch solo on repeat, over and over and over and never get bored.

No need to compare guitarists. We should all just enjoy what each of them brought to the table and how their music sparks different emotions. A song from Van Halen will take me right back to the beach as a teenager as we listened to them over and over. A great Dokken or Lynch Mob song that takes me right back to wanting a divorce ha ha ha. Either way I love music and both of these guys kick ass. I miss the good ole days of music. Now we get overly processed garbage for the most part on the radio, and MTV never shows music videos during the day.
