I watched Kalki today and came back to listen to the amitabh bachan reinvent part.

I remember watching this movie when I was a kid and my brother burst out crying when Akshay Kumar's character died. It was such a shock to us. We thought that Akshay was the main hero of the film and the main hero wasn't supposed to die. After watching this podcast, I learnt that Amitabh Bachchan was the main hero.

26:00 Boy he predicted right Amitabh has one more reinvention and he's doing it with Kalki there's gonna be shift in his movies now this is how u use Legendary Actor like Amitabh Bachchan in full glory damn these guys nailed it in Kalki

Khakee is an underrated gem by Rajkumar Santoshi as well as AB's most underrated work. Also, Mahalaxmi's betrayal scene steels the show but the first real twist that gave another boast to the story was when it is revealed that Ansari isn't a terrorist but an honest guy being framed. For me the highlight of the movie was Amitabh Bachchan's monologue.

@fibicreations Might be a matter of perspective. To me, it did not seem like the hosts were cutting him off at all, they were trying to get a few words in because he would just keep talking 😅😅 It's not a monologue or an interview, it's a discussion.

Good episode. But if you follow Alok on social media you must be knowing he is very passionate about Superheros and comics. Khakee is a nice film and the episode is good but if it was for some superhero film like Shahenshah, Mr. India, Ajooba toh shayad zayada maza aata. Urjita is cute but she need to bring the same humour to the show that she has in her stand ups. Abbas ji wo Maqbool hai Omkara nahi.

Khakee was so intense that I literally hated this movie. Everything around Amitabh was going wrong and this reminded me if Jagte raho of Raj kapoor ji. He was also helpless in the entire movie. Alok ji ne jo tushar kapoor wala sequal bataya hai, I guess I can watch that but khakee ya jagte raho mein fir se nahi dekh paunga.

Did not like this episode. There are many goods and bads about the movie that did not come out. Digressed into other irrelevant discussions and movies. Wasted time. One point I liked is the discussion on this movie being masala and Ardh Satya mix.

Seeing what happened in Pune Porche accident case ,i wonder why would not any one support encounter killings , system will always be against underprivileged
@dia6065 ай бұрын
The underprivileged are overwhelmingly harmed by the same abuse of power. You don’t even hear about all the poor people who are abused and killed in custody. Nobody who actually cares for the poor and marginalized would give power tripping cops more leeway to decide who lives and dies. Nobody who is rich and well-connected ever gets encounter-ed anyway

Please...... Abbas introduction never works. Has not done once. Two great comedians & yet no realisation of zero impact of this track, is perplexing. Rest of the show - tone & tenor - is something, one looks forward to.

Okay this discussion was so not up to the mark. Everyone is speaking over each other without letting the other complete. Especially the guest who is constantly speaking over the female host. At one point she had to say - “ but listen” Also the other host with glasses pointed out Maqbool as Omkara 🤦🏽♂️He seems completely disinterested & watched the film a night before this podcast was to be shot. 👎 Clicked on the thumbnail with so much excitement and ended up being disappointed. Khakee had so much more to be unpacked in this but all it ended up being was everyone losing the plot instead of sticking to the film. Please offer something better next time when picking up such an iconic film for discussion. Apologies if this is too direct.

I think Abbas should leave this podcast and hand it over to someone who has an actual interest in movies. He has almost zero knowledge of the movies in context, his timeline regarding the movies is seriously screwed up. I mean anybody can google things, and this guy still doesn't know anything.

Maybe you’re a Khakee fan so you feel this way but i never thought it was more than briefly entertaining so i didn’t mind Abbas’ take on it. I don’t think he has to love every movie they go back to but clearly if you liked the movie you would be disappointed

@@dia606 It was never about him liking or disliking the movie in particular. It's just that his knowledge and awareness of movies in general is just screwed up. It's like watching someone prepare a thesis on a subject after only reading a brief intro about it. Total noob.
