DJ 745 spoke with rising reggae star Khalia in Kingston, Jamaica about her musical journey and a chance meeting with Shaggy in Miami that led to her becoming the 1st artist to be signed to Tony CD Kelly's K-Licious Music. Late in 2023, she released her debut EP Stay True on Ineffable Records which has won the hearts of her ever growing fanbase with her captivating vocals and fusion of reggae, dancehall, R & B and gospel music.
Born and raised in Jamaica and later relocating to London, Khalia shared that it was always important for her to maintain a strong connection to her roots. This resulted in Stay True where she has enlisted the support of reggae music legends including Shaggy, Tanya Stephens, Mortimer, and Blvk H3ro, for the project.
