Please correct your information, Janab Mohd Rafi saab was born in KOTLA SULTAN SINGH, (a small village near Amritsar) in AMRITSAR, and NOT in Lahore, as has been narrated by this anchor. However, it is of little consequence whether it was AMRITSAR or LAHORE, because in 1924 (year of Rafi saab's birth) LAHORE too was part of INDIA, an undivided India, but for correctness of fact it has been mentioned herein. And another fact is, MUSIC doesn't have limitations of any boundaries & religion nor should it be created.
