I loved your report on KSM three years ago, in which you had described him as the 'biggest terrorist alive and in custody'. You correctly joined the open threads that relate 1993 WTC bombings with the Mumbai bombings that happened just 2 weeks later, as well as in relating the 1999 Indian Airlines plane hijack with 9/11 attacks. It is like 'how deep the rabbit hole goes'. It is startling to know how KSM and his nephew Ramzi Yousef, as well as Bin Laden, operated. They wanted continuous action, here or there. Immediately after 9/11, as I read in a report, they started planning another sinister attack, rather than celebrating the 9/11 attacks. Another striking thing is how they brainwashed the would-be bombers to participate in a suicide bombing. KSM had even nearly successfully persuaded a bridegroom on his wedding day to leave the festivities and become a suicide bomber, that too within just half-an-hour! Just imagine how strongly persuasive they were with the would-be terrorists! Death reeked from their words, and it is really sad that they made other human bombers, rather than themselves participating in such attacks. Were Bin-Laden and KSM afraid of death themselves? It is a big question. But KSM should receive either the death penalty, or sentenced for life in solitary confinement, like his nephew Ramzi Yousef. Justice would only be served then. May all those innocent people who lost their lives on the tragic events of 9/11 rest in peace.

Excellent Research. A big shoutout to you and your team. IS seems to be staying there with some distinction. It might sound a bit outdated to research, since threat analysis nowadays is done more & more in context of state actors, but one might look at the effects this decision would have on these groups. After 2013, especially in Kashmir, JeM is thought to have taken a frontward position than LeT. And after the Pulwama attack, again an offshoot of LeT seem to have taken over the attacks.
