Are both fans the same or is there a distinctive left and right?

Hi! These fans are distinctive (left and right) - I get most of my cheaper practice sets from www.ginni.de (look for 'fächerschleier') or Etsy (look for 'fan veils or fan veil sets) Hope this helps!

Can I use a spray bottle instead of iron?

Hello dear Moxie! I haven't tried out a spray bottle yet - but what also works is to steam the silk, and/or - in a pinch - waft around the fan veils inside a steamed-up bathroom (after a long shower) and then hanging them out open to dry/set, it reduces the silk wrinkles, too.
