When Russ was in Seattle, he used 8 to 9 different receivers... He threw to whoever was open, wide receivers - tight ends - running backs... He didn't just concentrate on one or two guys. Russ needs to get back into the same rhythm...

He is trying to, but it appears that the Seahawks coached receivers to work harder for the ball. In other programs, they don’t do that. Russ can still play in structure or out of it, but he needs receivers who will extend their routes.

Let's also mention that this is Arthur Smith's and other offensive staff members first year with the team. They are 8-2. I'll take it because room for improvement is still in front of them.

I feel like Thursday night games work against Tomlin’s strength as a coach. He’s a good coach and he prepares his guys well. Tomlin is great after a bye. It makes sense that a team that relies on a good coach does worse when he has less time to coach.

Justin Fields has a better red zone efficiency than russ does. And if you look up both stats Justin Fields scored 8 times in the red zone, russ only scored 5. And QBR Justin Fields 53. And completion percentage 66 Russ is Qbr 43 and completion percentage 60. Let that sink in Justin Fields is the better qb moving forward especially for the future

Russ has 11 red zone trips in 2 less games. Fields had 11 redzone trips in 6 games, Russ in 4. Fields is only more efficient because of his legs in the redzone. Fields may be the future...but he wouldn't have nearly as much sustained drives as Russ does. An example would be the Cowboys game. Fields couldn't convert 3rd downs...the defense got tired. He was 3 for 12 on 3rd downs. Cowboys had 5 more minutes of possession. The dline got tired because they were on the field too much...which allowed for the game winning drive. Russ wasn't great last week but the Steelers sustained drives. 36 minutes Time of possession for the Steelers against the Ravens. The defense played at a high level all game because the offense didn't score but it did control the clock. Red zone issues can be fixed. Russ is QB1 and is the best chance to win a Super Bowl.

@ Zachery Russ has played in 4 games, and the numbers don't lie, even Mike Tomlin said he wished that Russ never threw that pass for the int in the red zone, and notice after that play in the clutch moments who did the team go to??? Justin Fields he sealed the win for the Steelers. And don't be shocked when Justin gets more plays coming how was. Mike Tomlin is on a tear to win the Superbowl he doesn't care about feelings he already proved that by benching Justin Fields who had a winning record, let Russ keep struggling in the red zone and you'll see Justin back in the game for sure.

@perryellis1423 Yes the stats don't lie...the numbers are better offensively with Russell Wilson than Justin Fields. Russ with the offense has averaged 10 ppg more than Justin and 85 more yards on offense than Justin. Those stats you're referring to were against the weakest part of the schedule. Russ has had tougher opponents than Fields.
