Gilbert's performance was the most impressive thing for me in this fight! One cuz a lot of ppl were thinking that Khamzat was going to finish him off as fast as he finished his other opponents. 2 cuz Khamzat underestimated him a lot, saying that would be easy to beat him cuz he's small, but Gilbert got in there and showed him that he is not number two in the ranking for nothing! He is tough and never gave up the fight. He hit him, hurt him and made him tired, and this is all for Khamzat to learn not to underestimate his opponents anymore, especially if he is ranked among the best!

Burns trained in Florida with other elite welterweights for a welterweight fight in Florida. Chimaev trained in Sweden and Las Vegas with a big slow middleweight and two heavyweights for a welterweight fight in Florida. Burns fought the best fight of his career. Chimaev fought the worst fight of his career although he still ended up clearly winning two of the three rounds. If Chimaev wants to reach his true potential (two weight champ, in the GOAT discussion) he'll need to take a different approach to his training.

It was an impressive performance by Khamzat considering that it was his fifth UFC fight and at this elite level. We're disappointed because he looked similar to Khabib until this fight, and then he fought like he had the skills of Tony Ferguson/ Nate/Lawler/Rory against Burns, which means that he showed too many flaws even though he still got the job done...
@madgavin75682 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't say skills, more grit of such guys if anything. Which is good as it means he won't wilt under pressure and we know he's got a granite chin. Khamzat definitely has skills, but its mainly wrestling/grappling and offensive striking. If he keeps his composure, he's a monster but when he gets reckless as he did here he leaves himself open. So here's what we saw from Khamzat - good wrestling - great TDD - decent power - good strength - good grappling - overall good striking - very poor defense on the feet - cardio not as advertised
@GMAKYL2 жыл бұрын
I wasn't expected his cardio to be good after covid and lung surgery he had
@micahasher76002 жыл бұрын

he was gassed but you gotta take into consideration how intense that fight was just a straight up war throwing bombs for 3 rounds and Khamzat took a lot of them

@@micahasher7600 He didn't say he didn't have good cardio. Just not as advertised. His teammates said he never gets tired, which he did in that fight.

Good job, and posting this animation so fast is remarkable. As for the fight, it seems like scoring went Khamzat's way on the strength of his takedowns since Gilbert was even or better on the feet. However, on Khamzat's takedowns he ended up getting clubbed with about 20 hammer fists. I had Burns winning at 29-28, or even 29-27 if both second round knockdowns are scored.

I also give it to gilbert, but man it was such a close fight, I wish we had more tie s or maybe sudden death round if they agree and its only 3 rounds LOL

@@ArdFarkable What I've noticed is that whenever a guy who's a huge draw is fighting if he doesn't get finished. He will more than likely win the decision. UFC is like WWE these days.

ABSOLUTE BANGER FIGHT🔥. But this confirmed one thing to me, Khamzat isn't ready for the title. If Gilbert Burns did what he did to him, imagine what Usman would do. He should improve his striking defense a lot. He was eating punches a lot.

Come on son, the funniest moment was the push kick while both were on the ground from Burns. Burns was like, fuck off me son. LOL

Khamzat only won the third round with jab cross up and down to a shorter guy like Gilbert . he is taller and has longer reach .Also Gilbert has very short arm for his height which means any elite strikers can use counter punch with good rotation to knock out Gilbert and not need to use many jab cross with no power .Both of them looked so armature at the third round .

yeah, robberies are for when its an OBVIOUS wrong call, not a close fight. If the fight is close AT ALL, it cannot even be a robbery
@thevoicezjtj-9992 жыл бұрын
Well said DeSaad people that say it’s a robbery haven’t got a clue. Burns was dropped like 2,3 times & done an illegal kick on Khamzat that could of ended the fight at that point but Khamzat chose to fight on because he’s not a Sterling 🤣 Khamzat won round 1-3 burns got round 2 😂

Khamzat was too over confident. It's ok to be during press and interviews but once you enter that octagon you must be focused and not sit on the octagon like he is about to fight some nobody. I'm sure he will learn a lot from this
