I believe this proof inadvertently uses circular argumentation. In order to prove the corresponding angle theorem, you make the assumption that the sum of the internal angles of a triangle is 180 degrees. But in order to prove that it's 180 degrees, you would need the corresponding angle theorem.

That’s because the corresponding angle theorem is given as a postulate in Euclidean geometry, I.e, it’s simply an axiom we assume to be true

Angle sum property is derived from the alternate interior angles which is derived from corresponding angles.

my only problem with this proof, is that the proofs for the sum of the angles of a triangle use the Corresponding Angle Theorem, so the proof is invalid unless you can prove that the sum of the angles of a triangle are 180 without using the corresponding angle theorem.

how do you know if the equation (for the algebra part) is equal to 180 degrees or is equal to the other equation? someone respond please :(

There's a problem: You are assuming that the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. Take these three statements: 1) If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, the corresponding angles are congruent. 2) If two lines are cut by a transversal such that the corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel. 3) For any line and a point not on that line, there is exactly one line passing through the given point parallel to the given line. In order for your proof to work, you must assume statements 1 and 3. My geometry textbook used all three statements as postulates, but in reality, assuming two of them deduces the third one. I showed my math teacher the proof you had in your video, and her criticism was that the fact the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees comes from this fact. She clearly wasn't very informed.
