I had learned Pythagorean Theorem last year in middle school but no one teach me why a^2+b^2=c^2 yr teaching is easy to understand thx a lot~!

And it seems in many schools, teachers suffice themselves with teaching you how to solve a problem without telling you why that works. And I personally believe retention is better attaned when one nows why something works just as much as when they learn how to do the something.

To get to the proof. He's allowed as they're ratios of the same triangle.

We have to prove that except that we also have to prove the triangles similar.

this is not a prove this is a example that shows the assumption is correct. prove should be showing how it is possible and why is it . Pythagorean theorem is still one theory that has no prove just like PI.
@thenawabgaming7 жыл бұрын
I might doubt that. Pythagorean theorem has many proof including one consisting of using the proportionality of sides and formulae to calculate their squares
@TheFunkyCriminal7 жыл бұрын

Let there be a right triangle with sides of length a, b and c with c being the hypotenuse, then it holds that a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Proof. The one in the video since it can be applied to any right triangle. I think you don't understand the way mathematical proofs work
