You're really good at this! Im struggling with undertanding a solution. Said prolem; $1.80 is the slaes tax on $30. What is the sales tax percentage? The solution given is 1.80 = n/100 x 30. Its just an example, so they gave the answer of 6%, but that doesn't explain how it was solved. I would love to see your breakdown. Thank you in advance. Your newest follower! 👨‍🏫

That is a correct way of doing it. Just make sure you understand what you're doing and why it works, as well, though. This will help you if the problem is presented in a different form.

dude there is a easier way to find percents from fraction 1. multiply the denominator by a number which equal to 100 2. then multiply the same number on the numerator for ex. as your question 100/80=5/4 multiply 4 by 25 to get 100 and then multiply 5 by 25 to get 125 as your original answer

But if there is a denominator that cannot go into 100, you would have to do it another way.
