Main difference I'd say is that ETF's are traded like stocks - you can buy/sell during market hours like a regular stocks, and have lower fees than Mutual Funds. Mutual Funds can only be traded at the end of the day (it executes after market close), and need a few days to settle/go through. Also typically have higher fees. -Nicholas J. The guy I know, who does this work, did something with ETF's too. I remember bc he used those initials when he was talking to his friend, who's a broker. His friend is black (African-American) and worked on Wall Street. Trader Jim is black too. At first it surprised me but I was happy to see it. I lived in a black neighborhood when I was in the United States. I don't always understand these videos but I like that he's interested in the topic. I used to have teachers who were obviously bored with teaching their subject. They were maybe there too long, IDK, but lots of them weren't as interested as Sal still is.

Are the returns for the Open End Fund, Closed End Fund and the Exchange Traded Funds all the same? When the prices goes up, the investor sells the share and gets a capital gain right? or is there also interest that they earn?
