The titles often scare some part of me: "oh no it's so complicated, i'm afraid i'll not understand it..." But as soon as i watch them it is more than easy to understand!!! Thank you!

Love your math videos, but here you dropped the ball. The exchange does not take the bid-ask spread, but just a small (0.001% or so) commission. What the buyer pays, the seller receives (minus the commissions). This vid describes a trader, not an exchange.

Love everything you guys do. Seriously. But on this one ... I hate to say it, but you messed up. The exchange most definitely does not profit from the spread. Someone acting as market-maker, which is not the exchange ... profits from the spread. The exchange profits from a very small fee (very small) every single time a contract trades hands. The exchange has nothing to do with the spread.
