Would Airlines charging different prices based on time of purchase be considered 3rd or 2nd degree price discrimination?
@lokeshleo15 жыл бұрын
3rd

I think its intertemporal price discrimination and 3rd degree - since the seasonality of demand (based on the time of purchase) is being considered and also a characteristic such as purchase time is being looked at (same price offered to the group of customers buying the tickets at particular time slot)

In 1st-degree price discrimination, can monopolists identify separate market segments as in 3rd degree? or do they use an aggregate demand function?
