I was exposed on February 27th and I was tested on June 9th and it was nagetive.. 93 days after exposure.. is the result accurate? It says nagetive. Should I worry ?

It depends on the type of test that you take. If you took the ab/ag test then you should not worry cuz the sensitivity of it is quite high. 👍🏻

Márton József There is a very low incidence of incorrect negatives with these screening tests. Unless you are experiencing worrying symptoms or have been re-exposed, it is extremely likely that you are HIV negative.

for the pregnancy and the breast milk one.. you said it was because of viral particles in the infant/newborn, wasn't this initial conclusion reached because we used ELISA testing primarily in the 80s/90s? Isn't a newborns primary source of immunity from her moms antibodies ? which are actively transported cross the placental barrier, I don't think a newborn would have enough CD4 t cells to even allow a viral infection at that point, Furthermore how would said virus even cross the placental barrier/get into mammary glands?

Yes mucous membranes are innate immune system however to some degrees. With dendritic cells, enzymes in mucus, and IgA we get some protection but pathogens always cross mucous membranes and enter our systems. Think of droplet precaution. I hope this was helpful.

Look, even if you have unprotected vaginal sex with a woman who has hiv, the odds are 4 in 10,000 so if you use a condom the odds are pretty damn close to 0. The odds increase when having anal sex and they increase a lot more if you have sex with a man and you are on the bottom, around 1 in 70.

No, you would have to have open sores in your mouth and the amount of HIV in saliva is soooo minimal, it would be almost impossible to spread. Besides most HIV people who are aware of their diagnosis are on ART, and cannot spread it through any bodily fluids at all,

Yes, one of the partners may have had a false negative. There's a 6-8 week window period where HIV doesnt come up in a blood test after exposure. So if you had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago and then tested negative, you may still have it and can pass it on through sex.

3 weeks ago i had intercourse with this girl, Before doing it i got a cut on the shaft of my penis while trimming it.
