I tripped shrooms and played this while we were driving through the snowy mountains of Colorado. As the tempo slows down towards the last segment of the song I began to see time itself slowing. I was awestruck. It was absolutely amazing. Yet it was frightening because both the car and my body began to move as slow as everything else was and it scared me so I changed the song lol. It is definitely a powerful song.

I've come to appreciate that, even though there are wars, even though there is disease, even though there are droughts and floods, and even though there is death, we can look to the good things in life. This is one of those good things. Thank you, Johann Johannsson. Thank you.

It does my heart good to know that in an era such as we live in, there is some truly amazing music such as this, still being composed and enjoyed. It makes me believe that maybe, just maybe there is hope for the future of music and the human race.

Everything comes to an end, a house, a voyage, a dream a love, all things must have an end, one way or the other, even the things that give us a reason to live. The only way to live peacefully is accepting this, accept that life is but a set of loops and repetitions and that the only things that matters are the one happening now. This is what this song is telling me.

A grander world, a better world, Let's unite of the oncoming hurl. What's the point to follow by machine of brutes, Of metal souls, without love, or forever truth. Are we nothing but tools? A simple discard to exist, Are we just mindless beings, without thought or permit. Are we to die and let greed consume a simple cause? If not, then rise. RISE! For we march without a pause.

Rarely do I find a piece of music like this one, that I listen to for years, and never get tired of hearing. Something that makes you feel, if anything. And to hear, that the human being who created this isn't with us anymore is an absolute tragedy. Hope he's in a better world than this one.

On the contrary, it is the primitive that comes out of us. The primordial, archaic. The raw and sophisticated appreciation for the mystery of life. The civilized is when we entrapped ourselves in conventions, the primitive is when we let go, die and rebirth in a moment.
