I agree ! Marui magic. Since they HAVE to make them work with low pressure gas, it makes them incredibly efficient with "normal" gas. Well, that's how I would explain it at least.

Tokyo Marui has already released a modern AK74MN AEG so I don't see why they wouldn't just use some of the parts from that one and make an AK74MN GBBR. Only problems I can think of would be designing the magazines for it and making the stock foldable

Budget reasons, I imagine a metal receiver would jump the price by several hundred euros. Recoil also feels harder on a lighter body.

@@rayndown Thanks ! Well, I have no idea if those are really connected when it comes to the production process. I'm kinda surprise they still do not propose HK416 GBBR for example. Or even SCAR GBBR.

I want a 2nd TM AKM haha. It's just so good. My current one has aftermarket externals already. There's a steel receiver and front set coming made by GBL and lots of other parts by WiiTech and DyTac already out. And I agree, TM needs to release more AK variants. 74, 74M, 100 series. And maybe extended mags.

Now that the videos are complete I'm starting to modify mine as well. My wish would be to have some kind of mix between a vintage and modern feeling. Like maybe a modern folding stock, a railed gas tube and a wood romanian style hand guard. I'll see...

@@KhanSeb bro... That's the current state of my akm haha. Wiitech Midwest industries railed gas tube, dytac side folder and billet stock, c&ctac dog leg railed dust cover. I've a wooden ghk akm handguard but I'm looking for the lct Romanian dong to modify. They are just out of stock everywhere.

I may have judged this thing too fast. In early videos it looked disappointingly toyish, even the bolt velocity was lower. The only problem is that the woodkit is $130 and the GKM comes with wood furniture. The GKM also comes with feed issues and a bad hopup but back then it seemed like a no brainer.

It seems like buying a GHK AKM is a bit like playing the lotery. Mine was ok, but the performances were poor (when it comes to range and accuracy) and I never managed to make it really good. I've seen people having big reliability issues with theirs.

@@KhanSeb As I've said it on facebook, I also have the ghk sig on my wishlist but after seeing how badly this akm is made I'm not sure how much I want it. IDK, Badabing liked his, I'll wait what you'll say about yours, it's not like 551s are avaliable right now anyway.

@@sogerc1 Well I owned pretty much every gun made by GHK at some point (except for their M4, actually), and the SIG is by far my favorite. Build quality is awesome, no cool down, it shots fine. As usual I would like the bolt to travel further to the back like a real one but that's really the only downside I can think of.

Merci ! Y'a un kit chez RaTech aussi il me semble. Je ne pense pas que les bois d'une vraie AK soient compatibles sans modification pour le coup.

@@fjfernandez6725 Si porque el akm de marui tiene un disparo muy muy tenso y la economia del gas es perfecta incluso en invierno. No he probado la de ghk, pero viendo que cuesta unos 750 euros a diferencia de la marui que la tienes en torno a 500 600 me quedo la marui. Tambien he oido que la de ghk da algun problema

Bravo, belle vidéo de démonstration sur le TM AKM , comment sont les pièces internes ? Car le GHK AK est une catastrophe, pas au niveau esthétique mais un cauchemar au niveau des pièces mécaniques, hopup en plastique qui casse souvent et aucune consistance.. des ressorts qui sautent 😂, faut quasi le modifier à 100% qu’il puisse fonctionner correctement 😩, alors que j’ai 3 TM qui fonctionnent à merveille👍, peut-être un peu plus cher mais c’est incomparable … vive TM 👍

aesthetically, it is above all the compensator, which is not on the 1947 ak. For the real weapon, it is a lighter weight and lower manufacturing costs

Biggest difference I'd say is the use of stamped metal for the AKM receiver while the AK47 receiver was milled from a single steel block. It makes producing an AKM much easier (ergo faster and less expensive), as JeFilme said.

"Better" is very subjective. Is it more realistic ? Yes definitely. Is it funnier to use ? I would say so. Is it going to make you a more efficient player on the field ? Probably not. It really depends of what you're looking for.
