I like your content, keep on going. I'm curious though, is the Oud intentionally so low in comparison to the qanun? Can it cut through a group like this if the performer wished? Because I was kind of surprised, the Oud is usually a fairly strong sounding instrument but here it was sort of quiet, although it still sounds awesome. In fact, I'm probably going to get an Oud soon enough but now I also have an interest in the Qanun.

Sound balance is everything. I was experimenting with the sound in this video and I might have messed up the balance. It's just a smartphone recording and I think the oud is more clear without my tweaking. I'll upload the next video with the raw audio and we'll see.
