This show has built the Mitchells up in about the last 10 years to where every London gangster supposedly fear them which is just silly because what exactly have they ever done to have such a fearsome reputation? Even when Phil was in his prime the show didn't make out like every psycho & gangster in London knew of them & feared them but now supposedly they do. LOL. Who in the real world with some of the nasty pieces of work in London is gonna fear a 60 year-old Phil with no repetition of extreme violence or murder just a few dodgy business dealings along with his son whose history is mostly one of getting bullied & beaten up. The Mitchell family was what got me into this show, I used to love the brothers' antics but they've really made them a bit of a joke in the last decade or so, Phil's "gangster" persona has been exaggerated to the point you can't take it seriously anymore.
@RockApe_3 жыл бұрын
In the past 10 years Phil’s been getting busy laundering cash for some of the hardest criminals in the UK and Europe. Money talks. He doesn’t have to lift a finger and can get someone picked up and taken off the streets without a trail. He’s also got bent coppers on his payroll. Vincent is proof.
@NoirFan843 жыл бұрын
@@RockApe_ Laundering cash since when? The last few weeks since they put this storyline together? And Europe? You think he's some major International launderer? 🤣🤣 OK, mate. Sounds like a nice story. Phil can't do nothing, even Suki doesn't take his threats seriously, he has a history of making empty threats which come to nothing & if she doesn't take him seriously then you want to sit here & seriously tell me any of the major Underworld figures in London wouldn't laugh in his & certainly Ben's face if he came to them giving it the big 'un? The fact is the show just writes the gangland stuff very poorly & inconsistently. I mean look at the nonsensical storyline involving Danny Hardcastle, first they bring him in & suggest he's quite dangerous & Phil respects his reputation, then him & Phil beef & they have a big showdown in the warehouse after a heist where Danny is about to kill Phil & Ben however Phil & Ben get away with the cash though apparently this Danny who the show wanted to convince us was dangerous enough to kill them one minute suddenly doesn't go after them for revenge even though he knows exactly where they live? Eventually weeks later they did bring Danny back only to allow Phil to mug him off further & Callum beat him up without repercussions. It's poorly written dross & an insult to a viewer's intelligence. The showrunners must love you though for dreaming up reasons to try to give it all plausibility instead of seeing it for how silly it is.

Phil Mitchell in his prime was the years of 2000-2003, a bully, a monster, dominating the whole square, indimitating, controlling and violent...a fascinating character to watch indeed. Now Phil being in his 60s...its doesn't have that same spark it did the early 2000s. He's still the king of walford no doubt 😂😂😂but lets face it he's past his best years being the top dog.
