Kheerganga trek | First snowfall | -11°c temperature | snowstorm | slipped and almost died 🥶

welcome back to kasol series, episode 2 (day 2). In this video i will show you the super risky trek of kheerganga & the first snowfall of my life. The temperature went to -11°c and we don't even have a proper jacket to wear.
That scary snow storm literally killed us that day.

How we reach kasol from Chandigarh...Chandigarh to kasol direct bus available? Or somewhere mejar point near about kasol bus will drop us?

You can get the busses directly from chandigarh to kasol. Just check on red bus and book one from delhi to kasol, chandigarh is on the way so you can ask the driver to pick u from chandigarh. He will tell you the pickup point. I traveled by Laxmi bus, usme there were 2 guys who boarded from chandigarh like this.

Hi, Last year by mid November kheerganga recieved snowfall but I recently visited 4th December but still there was no snowfall this time. Most probably by new year it'll recieve snow. Else if you want to see snowfall you can visit manali or kashmir.

Hi Rahul, If you want to see snowfall then I would recommend you to plan for srinagar, Kashmir. As I was there last week and there is a lot of snowfall.. In kheerganga you might not see snow.

I am planning for kheerganga trek with my friends during these dates from 24th Dec to 29th Dec, is it ideal during this time? * I also wanted to know, is there any official site of Himachal Pradesh tourism where we can register for the trek along with camping with a tour operator guide? * I also wanted to know how difficult was the trail while coming down during the snowfall and how much time it took for you once you left the base camp?

Hi Vinay, December is one of the best month for visiting kheerganga, You will enjoy to the best nd might also see snowfall. There is no official site to register for trek. You can directly ask your hotel reception about the trek. And it is not at all difficult, infact it is quite easy one.

Hi, Surely you'll see snowfall at that time. And the kheerganga trek will be one of the best thing at that time. Make sure to carry suitable jackets as it would be quite cold up there in kheerganga.

@@kollapujitha543 go for down feather jackets or bomber jackets so that you don't have to carry much weight. Temperature might be in negative degrees so keep that in mind. Also, don't rely on purchasing jackets from manali as there you'll end up paying more for the same product you can purchase locally. Go for decathlon jackets. As per my suggestion.

Bro finally i found the most informative video for kasol kherganga trek . Thanks buddy we r planing this feb please help me to answer few questions 1. Where can we submited our bag in a locker as u mentioned before 2. Where we can board the bus for Barshaini 3. Is February a good month for trek ? 4. 1night stay in kasol and then next day we can plan for kheerganga trip so we should book hostel or hotel for 1night only??

Thank you so much piyush for the compliment and I am happy you liked the video. 1. You can submit your bag at any tour and travel booking person in kasol market. But please make sure that you submit it to anyone who has a proper shop there. 2. You can get plenty of busses for barshaini from kasol main market. It runs in every 20-30 mins from there. 3. Yes, February is a good month for trek as it will be clear and easier in that month and there will be all greenery all the way. 4. Yes, you can opt for that and you should not book a hotel/hostel for your trek day as you'll be staying at kheerganga only, and it'll be a loss of money for you if you book for that day. Also you will be keeping your bags at the tour & travel office/shop so there is no requirement to book the hotel. Also you can ask your hotel reception if they can keep the bags for 1 day. Most of them agrees to keep it. But sometimes they don't have the locker availability that's why I kept it at the tour & travel office.

Hey Ansh, that's a good time for trek. You might get snowfall but if not then also the temperature will be -1°c to -5°c. You can directly go and ask your hotel/hostel/camp manager about booking the trek they will arrange it. The rate for the trek is 1000rs. I paid 1500rs coz I didn't know the market rates. I would suggest you to go on your own and you can use goibibo app for hostel/hotel/camps bookings and red bus for bus tickets booking. And i would recommend you to book Laxmi travels bus as it is clean and hygienic

Hey Shreya, abhi vaha temperature thanda hai but din mai normal hsi. Around 8°c but raat mai it drops to 4-5°c. Christmas ke time pr vaise to snow fall honi chaiye as per the standard lekin atleast temperature to 0-1°c tk hojayega. So uss hisaab se hi carry the clothes.

Hi Uday, First you have to reach to kasol, Himachal Pradesh by bus. You can take a direct bus from delhi or chandigarh. Then after reaching kasol, you have to go to barshaini (you can ask anyone ther, they'll guide you where is barshaini). You can go to barshaini through local buses and private cabs also. After that there is a trek start point just 50 meters ahead, from there this kheerganga trek will start. For more detailed information please watch my other kasol videos. I've explained everything in them.
