Such a fun interview! Great job Rabia, thank you for highlighting that showing these stories requires responsibility and research. I don’t want to pass any verdicts yet but I hope the film truly reflects the director’s and producer’s vision and doesn’t trivialise the horror and pain of the events. I don’t think we are quite ready to take responsibility for the events that went down in 1971 but I agree that the past political climate should not stop the 2 nations from embracing friendship and love while truly respecting each other’s identity and beliefs.

THE FALL OF DHAKA , both chose a very sensitive and taboo topic. I believe the movie will do well in theaters. One request to Fuchsia Magazine , please use the subtitles in English in your intetviews so that the guests do not have to force themselves to speak in English. Mashallah Nabeel is a very creative person but he was trying to speak English that was wrong at times. Please speak in Urdu . Whoever will be interested, will read the subtitles. One more request to Nabeel and Fiza ,please create a movie 🎬 on the struggle of our Hero Dr Abdul Qadeer khan. Unfortunately, he hasnt been recognized for his services as he should be . I am sure you guys have the guts to portray his life struggles and achievements for 🇵🇰 Pakistan.

So I only paused this interview once, to google the Pak Liyari Biryani. I’m glad Fizza interjected and called it out. It’s ruthless to sit in front of a bonafide Karachiite and not disclose the best Biryani spots (regardless of their geographical location) 😀
