KHIAMNIUNGAN WARRIOR DANCE BY WUI CULTURAL TROOP AT CHOKLANGAN MYANMAR BORDER

In this video, we will witness four types of songs and dances by the Dance Troop of Wui Village performed during the launching program of the Biodiversity Peace Corridor at Choklangan village bordering Myanmar under Noklak district of Nagaland on March 9, 2020.
The first segment of the video is a traditional way of chanting while working in the field, gathering or on journey as a group. (Chanting on their way to Choklangan Village)
Second part is the procession of Shield dance into the ground which they (Wui) called it as TZOU MAAP.
The Third one is mostly sung when the troop performs in other place or village. (MEPAO NOK KO MESO YA SO YA MESO YA)
Last video is a Shield War/warrior dance which is called as SHI KHUT. It is told that our forefathers used to celebrate (sing and dance) during KHEO-LAK after the victory over the enemy.
