I just took apart 4 of my dryer coin drops that has been previously lightly cleaned off and vaccummed. And DAMN WERE THEY FILTHY INSIDE!! Lots of dust and lint to interfere with quarters going through it! It's amazing how lint can get way in there and accumulate.

Do you have a video of how to change the coin drop? Meaning switch it out to a new one?

Brilliant video, excellently shot and explained. Thank you. I had a split pin holdong the C-clip in place.

Brake cleaner would work. The biggest problem is dust and after that oils that can collect & hold dust. Anything that causes friction against the quarter will reduce its speed and cause a reject. Clean & then dry silicone.

Where would you buy just the coin mechanism for a 50 lb huebsch without the actual display? They're expensive with the whole setup and I'm just looking for the coin mechanism itself to be replaced.

Thanks for the video. Why shouldn't we use WD40? Because it causes gumminess? or because its flammable? or another reason? Thanks again.

Because any type of oil will attract more dust and lint. You do not want oil anywhere in these. They are made to work without it.
