KHMER KROM IN VIETNAM | Spirit of Asia

Khmer settlements could be found in river basins. The Khmer Krom, also called the Lower Khmer people, settled in the lower zones along the Mekong River, the part before the river releases into the sea. Khmer Krom people don’t reside in Kampuchea. Before the Kinh people, or the Vietnamese, migrated southwards, the Khmer Krom had a majority population in the region. They continue to preserve their ways of life, traditions, and other aspects of cultural heritage. Due to the Khmer Krom’s cultural preservation, Southern Vietnam has a distinctive landscape set apart from the country’s other regions. Following the end of war and conflict among ethnic groups, a pluralistic society emerged from new forms of organization and relationships. On this trip, we become part of the Khmer Krom celebrations which take place during the transition from one year to the next. The festival also marks

Hiện nay có một số bọn chúng đang nổi dậy, quậy phá, nếu chúng không muốn ăn yên ở lành thì sẽ đưa về cố quốc giống như dân Nagorno-Karabakh. Ngày xưa các chúa Nguyễn nhận đất, đã dung túng cho những người đào tẩu từ bên Campuchia qua nên ngày nay nhiều trong số họ tự nhận là người bản địa, với sự kích động của những tên như Sam Rainsy, Thach Setha, Thach Sathen...chúng len lén đưa các đoàn du lịch giả mạo 200-300 người vào để kích động mỗi lần...

Đừng quá tiêu cực bạn ơi!! Trên 101,5 triệu dân, ước tính có khoảng 1,5 triệu người Khmer. Họ cũng là một trong 54 dân tộc ae của Việt Nam mình Còn về vấn đề tiêu cực bạn đề cập thì vẫn có tồn tại. Nhưng trên 1,5 triệu người khmer ở Vietnam có không tới 100 người có tư tưởng sai lệch đâu bạn. Ai cũng lo làm ăn buôn bán, lo cho cuộc sống chứ hổng ai ở không mà đi làm ba cái chuyện!! Đa phần những người có tư tưởng sai lệch là do họ không được học hành đàng hoàng, không có hiểu biết và bị kẻ xấu lôi kéo, lợi dụng ( đa phần bọn này nằm chung một đảng phái ở CPC ). Vậy mới thấy việc phổ cập giáo dục cho bà con vùng sâu vùng xa cũng vô cùng quan trọng và cấp thiết!!

In 1832, the Vietnamese Emperor Minh Mang annexed the last Champa Kingdom. This resulted in the Cham Muslim leader Katip Sumat, who was educated in Kelantan, declaring a Jihad against the Vietnamese.[56][57][58][59] The Vietnamese coercively fed lizard and pig meat to Cham Muslims and cow meat to Cham Hindus against their will to punish them and assimilate them to Vietnamese culture.[60] The second revolt led by Ja Thak Wa, a Bani cleric, resulting in the establishment of a Cham resistance which lasted from 1834 to 1835 until it was bloody crushed by Minh Mang's forces in July 1835. So basically the Viets did to the Cham and khmers what China did to Tibet, Viets, Hmong, etc. and what Myanmar is doing to all ethnic groups in Myanmar 🧐. Also what the Japanese did to China, Korea and the Philippines. I guess to crush and conquer others land you have to kill, force assimilate it’s people, destroy their culture (if you can)and intimidate. I heard Japanese made Koreans speak Japanese and use Japanese names during their colonization WW2 whereas the Cham and Khmers were forced to change their ancestral names to Vietnamese names, same concept. The original settlers of the Americas did the same, the only difference is Japan and the US government have apologized for their aggression, although many Japanese refuse to teach themselves in history as the aggressor lol 😆 because no one wants to be known as the aggressor.

This is the land of the Funan Kingdom (before belonging to the Khmer). In the 16th century, the entire eastern part of Cambodia belonged to Vietnam. The Khmer Kingdom collapsed in the 14th and 15th centuries. Currently, the Khmer people are an ethnic minority in the Mekong.

This is bullshit, in 1658, the king of the Khmer kingdom, Ramathipadi I passed away, causing turmoil within the Khmer kingdom because of the struggle for the throne. Lord Nguyen helped a Khmer prince, Barom Reachea VIII, ascend to the throne. In response, the new Khmer king signed a treaty to pay tribute to Lord Nguyen every year and allowed the Vietnamese to own the reclaimed land in the South. The Vietnamese had full rights to own this new territory before the French came and colonized the southern region of VN. Stop lying about your delusional propaganda of Khmer Krom land stolen.

Minority in Vietnam have outstanding rights than Kinh, they have free aid for healthcare, education, additional income aid, free for land tax and fee, suppy free for new seeds, fertilizers...no limit for regeneration, support for keeping and developing traditional culture...but some of them don't want to be live as people, they want to riot. They want to be fed free without works.
