The Cham people in An Giang are Islamic. They strictly follow the Islam's rules and commandments but not too strict as the other Islamic countries. Cham girls are able to join in the social activities and go to school.
The Cham people believe that they have to live morally and follow the rules of the Quran. Therefore, all the people that I have met are so friendly and kind, they are very happy when other people come to learn about their life and culture.
Due to their religion, the Cham children have to join the classes that teach them about Cham's culture and the Quran. However, the government does not have this special education system, so they have to help each other. For the higher education, the children have to study abroad, but their families are not too wealthy, so their study is totally depends on the scholarships from other Islamic countries.( Malaysia, Indonesia)
The Cham people are still facing many difficulties in maintaining and spreading their culture. I hope the government will give more supports to the ethnic minorities. I'm chattering again. Let's watch the clip and have fun!
