@@Mr.J689 Samme her. 😊 Både VHS båndet og "Tuborg" 2LP piratpladen. Søndag 1987 var min første Roskilde Festival. 1989 var min første fulde Roskilde Festival med camping. Vi var der med en jævnaldrende amerikansk veninde som pludselig ringede til os: "Hej. Er I hjemme? Jeg lander i Kastrup om 7 timer og tager direkte på Roskilde Festival. Jeg vil opleve Disneyland After Dark live. Vil I med? Og, øh, har I et telt jeg kan sove i?" 😮 ...Vi blev overrasket. Vi hentede hende i lufthavnen, overtalte hende til lige at komme hjem at læsse unødig bagage af og få et bad først, og så tog vi alle på festival i fire dage. Som souvenir har jeg den hvide "tegneserie Jihad-tour" T-shirt, jeg købte, stadig rimelig pæn.

I'm afraid I have to correct myself, my apologies and thanx to Casper Iskov, SleeeperYouth and thetruezorro. I've mailed with 3 different parts of TV2 with 3 different answers. But according to TV2/Pix this should be right: The concert was recorded in 1988 and broadcasted in 1989! Sorry - and thanx for your interest and reply! Kim

I believe the 1989 broadcast was a re-run. My VHS tape recorded from national TV says 18, I think the first broadcast of the footage was in late august 1988.

Looking at the picture page 82-83 is quite different from looking at this video. And I agree with SleeperYouth about NFLP. Why the completely different lyrics for 'Girl Nation'? And why so many pre-NFLP songs if the album had just come out a few months earlier? Plus, Jesper calls both 'Girl Nation' and 'Sleeping...' new songs. Apart from that I enjoyed the videos :)

Assuming Jesper Binzer is right in his book (and I do believe he is) then this can't be from 1989. Looking at the picture page 82-83 is quite different from looking at this video. _"this can't be from 1989."_ This footage is from *1988* (not 1989), it was sent on national TV shortly after the festival (I was there). The song "Girl Nation" was on their (3rd) 1989 album "No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims" but with different lyrics.

Hmm.. I attended Roskilde Festival in 1988, 1989 and 1991 and i recall a D:A:D concert (in daylight) where Binzer jumped off the top of the Canopy (wearing a line) at the Riding with Sue climax ("... sue decided to drop").. I had it pegged as 1988 which is clearly wrong. Maybe someone can confirm 1989 or 1991?

Yes the video above is 1988 but my experience at Roskilde doesn't match this concert which clearly took place "after dark" and also didn't feature Jesper Binzer hanging from the canopy.

Actually it was Jacob Binzer hanging in a wire over the crowd - in 1989 - where they performed from 9PM. The 1988 gig - this one - began at 01:30AM

Well that sorts my Swiss-Cheese memory then =) .. 9 PM at Roskilde in June/July is still before "after dark" so that makes sense =)

HEY GUYS. Var til denne festival + året efter hvor det gik endnu vildere for sig ;) GN med dejligt alternative lyrics ;) Var i Cinemateket og se True believer i går. Fruen vandt jeres dejlige vinyl med autografer og alt sådan noget. FEDT tennis-tema. Stig faldt næsten i søvn, men ellers classy night ;) Bare et forslag: I stedet for at jeres nye album hedder "Faster than the speed of darkness", så vil det virke bedre hvis: Faster than the speed of dark - free advice!!!
