This scene actually is a very powerful scene...When Ishan saw the painting by Ram Sir ( aamir khan ), he realised 2 things .. firstly, It made him realize how important he and his happiness is to his teacher Ram, and secondly he saw his own self in the painting, his own smiling happy self which he had lost or was on the verge of losing , due to the ignorance of everyone around him towards his disability. He didnt even understand his own disability and moreover everyone was being cold and harsh to him. He almost lost himself until Ram sir came in his life... He gave him back what was rightfully his. HIS CHILDHOOD.....

That's so true and so beautiful! I also considered it to be symbolic to the relationship they share. It was also how Aamir was boosting Ishan up and Ishan was reaching for sky. Made me see how the right person, be it a teacher or anyone else will, boost the child up to freely dream and achieve those dreams without stifling that child's raw beauty and freedom. The education system in India is as such that it makes learning a contest. Something it isn't and should've never become. It's like something so beautiful becomes ugly because of the way it presented to children. Seriously how are they expecting children to learn when they put them through a million tests that don't gauge their understanding of the material? The matter of the fact is not all kids can express their understanding through tests. Also not all kids are the same type of learner. So really what's needed is a personal attention on children which cannot be achieved by stuffing 30-40 kids in the same class and assignments that make learning fun and not mundane. P.S. sorry about the gigantic post for anyone reading this. I'm pretty passionate about this.

This movie taught me what life is actually.... 1. We only see one side of a coin and start judging. 2. A failed person is much more stronger mentally. 3. Every person is intelligent in his her own way 4. Study is not the only source to fill your empty pockets 5. Punishment is not the proper way to improve someone who is lacking way behind 6. Mom is the only person who finds victory even in our defeat to keep us moving forward and motivated in life 7. Teachers pay less attention towards weak students and more towards scholars. 8. Back benchers weak students are the only one who can digest failure but still succeed in life 💪

I think a reason we cried our asses off even grown ups is because this all has happened to us. Curriculum pushing us,teachers and parents suffocating us,us not being able to achieve our dreams,etc. Ishaan finally ends up with a happy ending,which we want for ourselves too.We see ourselves in ishaan. Another reason why I love this movie.its way deeper than just about a dsylexic child. Ishaan is every kid who's dreams are pushed off a cliff and every ounch of fun is squeezed from his life to make him an "ideal" child that his brother was. Who saved Ishan not his parents, not the school, not the normal teachers in general, but one caring and capable teacher, only one teacher made all the difference in the life of this child and could turn him around. Teachers make good people, good people make good societies and good societies turn out to be good nations. That's why the position of Gurus was so important in ancient Indian culture, even above God! But that can happen only when the teacher and the student are able to interact at a personal, intimate level. In our societies which are based on Western ideas, every individual, be it a student, a teacher, or at any other level, interacts more with the machine like institutions. Example, the teacher has to give grades and students has to get grades. Even the quality of their relationship will be judged through the mechanical institution of grades. It's pretty much like the bread made in factories, "untouched by human hand"!

I am a teacher. I used to be a student of chemistry. When I also needed love and adoption in the same way that someone would understand my psychology.Today I am a teacher. This is the only film that I finished watching in one day and at the same time.This is November 28, 2020This film has a very deep message for all teachers. I am very impressed with this film.Really, this movie should be seen by every teacher and parents.There must be a child in one of our classes who has a desire for love and adoption and is afraid of his own disgrace. At this moment, it is up to a teacher to make this child a human being or a Living corpseBecause every human being has the same mind that the teacher has, the parents have and the child has.Nowadays the teacher is under so much pressure that he says anything to the children in the classroom without thinking that the children are ready to learn something. The teacher should be free from all kinds of pressure and anxiety. And then talk to the children in the classroom in such a gentle tone that the children obey him.

@almemon3691 Жыл бұрын
Wrong! This movie is half directed by Amol Gupte. Aamir hijacked this movie and fired Amol Gupte half way through production. The TRAGEDY is that we don't know which scenes were directed by Aamir and which ones by Amol Gupte. Aamir kept Amol's directed scenes in the film but never told us which ones are those. So, to say that Amir directed this movie is utterly false. Aamir is OVERRATED, he only survives through awesome marketing techniques for his films, nothing special about him.
