I am Japanese.This location is my hometown. Thank you for portraying my beloved hometown so beautifully. Especially the last scene where you look up at the sunset sky from under the elevated Karasuyama Ohashi Bridge. When you look up at the sky from that location, there are no buildings or power lines, just the color of the sky spreading out in front of you. This is my favorite place, and when I was a child I would always walk there while looking up. I'm glad you were able to use a memorable place for an important scene. I cried the whole time I was watching the video. Thank you for choosing us as your shooting location.

It’s been nine days since we laid my mother to rest as well. She was fighting with CKD for almost fifteen years. She died from hospital acquired pneumonia. She fought until the very end. Hours before she died, she thanked all of us for our everlasting support and love. Her last words to my dad were “Thank you so much for everything. I love you so much. But I have to go now, okay?”. I don’t know if it will get better but every single day just feels surreal without her. She was my rock and my life but now, I don’t know what to do without her.

Someone once told me grief is the love we once shared after it has lost its destination. A longing to express that love in ways that cannot be sent beyond. Post grief those peoples legacies are what we spread to those that we love that are still with us turning grief into a new type of love. A cycle if you would.

If you believe in an afterlife, maybe read on....okay still here....okay let's go....so in Islam when any child born into any family irrespective of the parents religious conviction, when a child dies they go straight to heaven. It's said they play with the other children who have died and some say that the Prophet Abraham looks after them. Ive known a few tragedies like this and the knowledge of this, in some cases, in most cases, but certainly not all cases, has been some sort of source of comfort in the most difficult of times anyone can ever face. If this is you, if you're in that situation, I hope this knowledge may bring you some sort of peace. Much love to one and all. Peace.

So... My father passed away 4 years ago... Loved the guy to death. He had a very hard soul. Very difficult for him to show emotion, but when he did the worlds would move. I have always been a fan of Khruangbin, but when this track came on for the first time.... I started bawling.... It was such a natural moment. I don't show emotion easily (similar to my father). But there is something about this track that helps bring it up in a positive way. Thank you Khruangbin. Not only for such a wonderful track, but amazing video!

@heptangonalnly11 ай бұрын
really good song and very emotional video , the combination is amazing , made me cry. here's a little explanation of the video if anyone's wondering: the beginning of the video shows the man riding a bicycle with a giant stuffed toy ( it was his daughters favorite toy so he associates it with her and takes it everywhere he goes) in front of him , he is taking it alongside with the drawing of her that he drew and a letter he wrote and her ashes (which is also a reminder of her so he takes it everywhere he goes) to the place that was his daughter's favorite place and it is full of stuffed toys and other offerings (looks like he regularly visits this place and brings all the toys to honor her soul) . you can tell by seeing her soul dancing there. the man has lost his daughter so he is extremely depressed and his mind constantly wanders off into memories of him and her together, that's why he is in the middle of the road , moving slowly and causing a traffic, followed by one of the drivers calling the police on him . when the man arrives there he starts reading the letter while holding jar of her ashes , he is emotionally overwhelmed and desperate and him looking at his daughters ashes makes it worse. that's when the policeman, who initially was called for a different reason sees it and decides to approach the man to calm him down , but the man refuses and pushes him away , but you can see a sympathy on the policeman's face , so he reapproaches him to calm him down, but the man pushes him so hard that he gets thrown on the ground himself and spills the ashes, overwhelmed by emotions he then gets very angry and starts fighting the policeman , then you can see the blood coming out of the policeman's nose (that's why the man's shirt is bloody , because he was wrestling with the policeman who had a bloody nose). despite all the beating the policeman took , he goes to the man with sympathy and hugs him , the man accepts him this time now that his emotions has settled down a little bit. then the policeman offers him a ride home, but the man refuses since he prefers to go back home by bike . the policeman helps him by carrying the giant stuffed toy in his car and leading him towards home. the look on the man's face while riding bike looks like he has given up and starting to find peace. then you can see that they are on a bridge , that's where his daughter suddenly appears on the back of his bike hugging him , that's when he jumped off of moving bike and off the bridge, taking his own life (bridge is associated with suiсidе here). he reunites with his daughter in the afterlife , finally at peace and happy , smiling and having a good time with her. the empty bike keeps going down the road until it hits the trunk of the policeman's car, he jumps out of the car in disbelief until he sees a big star shining and two glowing orbs moving across the sky which is the symbol of their souls flying towards heaven.

After seeing this, *all I want is for him to come and get me.* My life as an only child (daughter, single father), best friend, and then 24/7 nurse ended when he died. Despite the careers (3) I have tried I am still lost. I just keep going back to college for another 'useless' degree. *I would love it if he would come and find me and stop haunting me in my dreams (answer the phone Dad!)* edit: please daddy... come and get me. this country...
