KHYANG │ TRIBAL PEOPLE OF BANGLADESH │ বান্দরবানের খিয়াং ক্ষুদ্র নৃগোষ্ঠী

Khyang is one of the small ethnic groups of Bangladesh inhabiting in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. They are the smallest ethnic groups in Bangladesh with a population of few thousands. They live in Rangamati and Bandarban Hill District. There are two groups among the Khyangs : Laitu and Kongtu. They lead an interesting and attractive but simple life. Within a patriarchal structure, the father of a Khyang family is the master of the house. In their community, both the male and female are very industrious.
