The server timer was implemented to fight duping. after the server saved people would upload the item, then crash the server. When the server came back you would have one in upload and another still on server.

The whole upload timer was based of patching a dupe glitch during legacy, or at least slow it down

Ark 1.5 going to be a repeat. Wont be crazy off the hop but once tek is made island will be spammed with transmitters wish they let pc rot alone with cheats exploits. Edit: if they weren't so greedy they would hire more gms. I could see them having MTs and Helena will be hexagons but you need to buy hexagons or a mix of both buying and grinding. Either way they need proper GMS

They made server times because of duping I know this because I was the tribe responsible for it we dropped servers to dupe with the uploads so they added a timer to stop that
