He's talking about the new generation coming through which when this was originally written would have been my parents (60's to 80's)... it discuses leaving the Punjab and then returning with western ideas and attitude and how the children of those who left not speaking the language or respecting their traditions... it goes on to lament how strong we were as a nation under the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh but the British saw an end to that... he pleads to continue to teach the Sikh ways and for us to respect ourselves however our men have got wrapped up in drinking bling wealth etc... its a beautiful song about what's important... western culture had been fed all across the world however as anyone can see the world has lost its soul as a result🙏🏽 Apologies for my poor understanding but that's the gist and meaning of the song not a direct translation...
