smh some of you jump to the conclusion of what he's saying. if you knew WHY he was saying these teachings you would understand. he says this about kava not because of the kava itself, it's what comes with some of the kalapus and mixings. husbands staying out till late the next mornings and not coming home to there families. having the touas come and serve them, and messing around with them. some of these mixes aren't a good environment for a man who is married. even for a single man who goes to church should no better then to put himself in a situation where you end up laying with a women. THAT is why our prophets and teachers at church try to discourage the men NOT to mix. they know it's a tradition for us, but some people abuse this tradition and use it as an excuse to be out every night, at all hours of the night doing things they shudnt be doing. it has nothing to do with the kava and mixing itself.

Well, I'm Mormon & was a kava person & 2 say : mormons don't drink kava freely Yes, they do cuz of freedom 2 choose is what we believe & teach! Now 2 say : in Mark 7:15 read carefully the verse it says : "But the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man." For these R the words of the lord through the Apostle Paul Quote:" Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (17) If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." End Quote. 1Corinthians 3:16-17 this verse here teaches that we R not 2 defile but take good care of ourselves. Cuz R body is the temple of God..

Unaloto O. Yes u are right, kava can cause sickness within us but name me something we consume everyday that has no side effects to our body. Too much sugar is bad, too much meat is bad, to much statch is bad etc. My point is everything we consume does have a effect on our body and kava is no different. I belive that when it says take care of our body in the scriptures it does not soley mean physically but also mentally and spiritually and we have to balance it all out equally by having a positive mindset, Praying and giving thanks to God everyday and keeping healthy. I can admit that i do not do these things consitantly because i am a sinner but If by being a sinner you know what you needs to do to be rightous man and Kava is one thing i wont give up because kava to me is just flavoured water.
