Needle Gun and Soulrender, my favorite no-aimers. There was a time I'd farm the claptraps by just keeping the trigger on a Needle Gun and running around in circles (until one time when my Zane really did run out of ammo; I have it set to sntl cryo).

The DNA was my first M10 weapon. Was playing at m2 and maurice had it in his machine on promethea. 81000 damage and I was set. It allowed me to start farming at M11. Now 4 of my VHs are playing at M11 the others are taking it easy. To be honest a couple are still in the story and the others are waiting for gear.

VERY similar experience here cept i got it from diamond vault but it allowed me to get my foot in the door so to speak for mayhem 10/11 cause i had ZERO idea how i was gonna make the jump. i was casually trying to farm m4 and 6 drops fdjskhfkds. nowadays tho, the hail is totally my go to mayhem weapon should i lack one (not so much an issue now honestly lmao.)

Needle Gun on Amara essentially makes her immortal as long as shes using infusion and the status effect damage heals you and you dont miss too often with it. She can even solo hermovorus the invincible with it.

All these smg’s are amazing. My personal favorite is the long musket, because i like flamethrowers. Great against enemies without their shields/armor and the little drone you send out for reloading can actually draw enemy aggro, giving you some space and time to take out the enemies

I saw this video a while back and I am near the end of dlc 2. Just used a diamond key and I chose the Plasma Coil for the weapon as I remember you saying it was really good. Didn't realise it was your number one Smg! I did have a few Blood Starved Beasts from the Black Market vending machine, but I got rid of them as I didn't think I would ever get all of the dlc. The Dark Army is the best smg... in the hands of Zane.... the gun will spawn drones, and if you have Zanes clone specked to hold a duplicate copy of your gun, he will also hold a dark army with its own set of drones as well. You can effectively have 8 guns at once on one enemy!

I love the Flipper and Plasma Coil. Glad I spent the time I did farming those weapons. The Flipper is definitely one of the easier weapons to farm-it’s my main weapon for Fl4k. With his Fade Away skill, this weapon doesn’t just shred, it slaughters. Can’t tell you how many bosses this gun helped me cheese

One of the best smgs I have used was the XZ41. With the shock elemental build for Amara, it tears through enemy shields and health. Each bullet has a ricochetting effect that will wipe out hordes of enemies if stacked together. Especially with the +75% (min/max) weapon damage buff. This SMG works extremely well when paired with any grenade mod that has the anointed effect "On Grenade Thrown, Weapon, Grenade, and Action Skill Damage are increased by 25% for 6 seconds". I speak from experience so I don't have much (useful) information that could be provided. I believe it spawns in multiple elements. I use the shock elemental variant of the XZ41 with Amara.

Nice List Ki11er Six - (my 2 cents, just opinions) #5 is in it's own category to me as an SMG and stand at 2nd fave, only cause farm is shiver inducing on PS4. It's sooo good on Zane too with cryo/clone. #4 Doesn't get the love it deserves imo. The bigger the enemy is with this SMG, the faster it hits the ground. Mobbing it feels innacurate, but again those big enemies.... toast #6 Is my favorite. Pain to farm and get correct Prefix/Element/Full Auto, but wow this can shred. #3 Yep, very cool SMG, and not "horrible" to farm once ya use that method (bring movement speed)

Favourite SMGs: 1. DNA 2. SF Force 3. Tsunami 4. Devoted 5. Redistributor SF Force, Tsunami and Devoted honestly dont get enough recognition. They are all top tier SMGs and yet I barely see anyone talking about them or even implementing them into a build.

I got a Dark Army+ (i know there is a ++ version, too) SMG from the Diamond Room, that absolutely shreds and is one of my favorites in the game. I have yet to see this covered on any list like this though, which is really surprising to me

In the hands of Zane the Dark Army is lethal. Zanes clone can be specked to hold a copy of your gun. When you hold the Dark Army, so will the clone and the clones Dark Army also has its own drones added to your drones. That's a lot of fire power!

I'd have to say that my personal favourite smg has to be the Oldridian from dlc 2, I love it's special effect of when reloading it can switch elements, and on top of that can come in all the elements too, making for a pretty good weapon in my opinion.

I'm still playing through the campaign and everything said about the Plasma Coil is true. I got mine at lvl 15 and used it until the early 30's. I'm lvl 43 currently and I can't bring myself to sell the thing. I keep it in the locker. Getting rid of it just feels wrong.

On my main, Moze, I've tried almost all of those weapons. The Blood Starved disappointed me the most. I spent like an hour farming one, and then it was just underwhelming. The Plasma Coil is okay strong, I guess. But absolutely nothing so far hold a candle to the Flipper. I'm not sure if maybe the anoints have a big say in my experiences, but the Flipper really is all I need by now.

My favorite Hyperion smg is Love Machine. I found it early on in the game and it was my go to. Second is the Handsome Jackhammer. Those two guns may be small beans to some, but they were good for me. I haven't found any of the others on this list, but I'm going to.

Smg's have pretty much always been THE darling weapon class in Borderlands franchise. I use EM-P5 (logistics and single target), D.N.A. (bossing) and Redistributor (mobbing) on my Violent Momentum Zane build. Haven't had this much fun with smg's since BL1 Hellfire 🔥 The only thing missing is the Dark Army with THAT max dmg part... and it's starting to trigger my BL2 farming ptsd 🌚

As far as I understand it, unfortunately it was hit really hard after the Mayhem 2.0 update and is only really used for extra running speed in builds now. That may be wrong, but it's just what I've seen.
